Phasmophobia needs to take some pointers on level design from games like this. These places look and feel haunted. Nothing in phasmo has that vibe. Especially the regular ass houses. Spook it up.

The sounds in this were amazing. Imagine if phasmo sounds were like this!

Got grounded for a month, finally returned and I'm so happy to see tons of Insym's videos piled up for me to watch. Before, I used to watch all the streams, VODS and mainstream videos and had to wait for new ones, thank you Insym for being such a great creator!

Urban exploration is cool, but damn is it scary and dangerous. Heard way too many stories and seen too many videos of things going badly

Really good atmosphere and sound design, but the exposition dump in the middle was clunky and using notes (always with the same corner torn off) to provide backstory has been done to death. The imagery seemed largely inspired by various movies (Poltergeist in particular, but also The Frighteners, etc.) which could be labeled as derivative or an homage, depending on your point of view. (I chose the latter.) The general vibe was more spooky than scary though, and the gameplay is virtually nonexistent - very much a walking sim. Or more accurately, a haunted house ride in video game form, since your progress is essentially on rails with frequent stops to view cutscenes. Personally I would have preferred a more grounded, realistic exploration of a haunted building than the hammerspace horror of caverns and portals and entire pyramids underground that ancient people just happened to stumble upon. (Only not that ancient, since they speak and write in modern English.) Going in, I really liked it, especially the idea of some ghosts being helpful and protecting you, but once it got past the exposition dump I started getting bored and actually had to take a break because I was nodding off. So my general take? Looks good, sounds good, and has some good ideas (and some nostalgic ones) that put it above a lot of indie horror games, but lacking in tension and not to my personal taste. Your mileage may vary.

Developers of this game should unite with phasmophobia developers and update phasma with these effects. I would love it. ❤

I love terrifying myself. I once sat in complete darkness listening to exorcisms. I want to go ghost hunting so bad. I’m a huge skeptic. I don’t think ghosts are real, but the psychological effect that a spooky environment provides can be such a thrill.

p to pause is honestly vile game design. Make it "escape" like a normal designer. C to crouch is also horrible, but so many games do it and I'm always rebinding to ctrl. It only really makes sense when the game has both crouching and prone (c and z respectively) but I would still rather it just be ctrl to crouch and hold ctrl to prone.

Why can’t it just be a normal hunting and not this weird extra dimension stuff with a giant pyramid. I’d love a normal/terrifying haunting without all the extra weird nonsense that literally never happens.
