You know, I'm looking over in the suggestion list and I see all these "ABANDONED PLACE CRAZY GUY MURDER HAPPENED MUST WATCH!!" and it makes me appreciate how mellow and down to earth you guys are.
I really just want to let you know how incredible your videos are. The effort pumped into each exploration really shines compared to a large quantity of videos on this website. Keep up the good work
on the old Twilight Zone, this guy was wandering in an empty town, & was in the empty police station, & the cell door started slowing closing behind him when he was in the cell, & he noticed the shadow on the wall & got out in time. oh man so creepy!
@@MarantzSt153 wtf. Its a good song🤔. I like it too! I fail to see how that associates with lonelieness. I even downloaded it on my phone after finding the whole version. Its a good one to while diong cardio.
@@MarantzSt153 Ohhh lol. oops thought you were replying to that nancy person lol. Who is thid 'John' Rackley guy? looks like he deleted his comment. What did he even say????
Samantha Gerbrandt damnit Bobby you’re trying to say lots of people don’t make crazy titles to get views? You must not watch RU-vid maybe ads are still playing instead of your video
It's amazing how wasteful government is, look at all those bed frames that could've been reused or sold. And all the wasted books. The building itself could've been used for homeless shelter.
It's usually cause they were kinda self sufficient and asylums in particular made their own power/heat so in order to do that and heat multiple buildings they need steam tunnels. Prisons I'm assuming could be for what the other guy said lol
you can bypass zones in case of Riot or losing a wing, also tunnels are good places to run pipes, and move goods, suplies, food, tradesmen and others away from general population, get items about that may not want risk falling into inmate hands and many other practical advantages.
Is Bryan's stomach feeling better? Haha...have either of you ever had a bathroom emergency while you're in one of these abandoned buildings? Sorry if TMI, but these are things I think about. Squatting in the middle of the woods or in some abandoned building with no toilet paper doesn't sound like my idea of a good time.
will you please make some "chairs just chilling" merch? like you can have shirts and even another beanie that says "chairs just chilling" with a silhouette or outline of a chair you guys have came across to make it more personal. i could sketch up some stuff for you guys if you'd like that, i started some anyways cause i was gonna make my own just for me to be honest. I think it would be a big hit.
I was wondering how there was so little tagging and no security. But at the end when you said security was driving around I realized you guys had to be stealthy and vigilant.
They touched on this in one of their other videos. Determining if a chair is chillin' is a fine art, but there's definitely a difference between a chillin' chair and a normal chair. I think a normal chair is a chair found in a location where you would expect it to be. It's hard at work being a normal chair doing its' job, even if nobody is around to use it. A chillin' chair is a chair that is hanging out somewhere a bit unusual, usually a location where a person would enjoy hanging around casually. These chairs are off work and are just maxin', relaxing all cool.
I was actually in prison and those are indeed bedframes. What we had was a single bunkbed in our cell, which was just those flat metal slates you'd seen. They gave each of us (only 2 to a cell thankfully where I was) an exceptionally thin mattress to put on top of that metal, and in the prison I was in, the pillow was attached to the mattress--it wasn't separate. That made for some uncomfortable sleeping, I will tell you, and I had woken up more than once with a stiff neck and a headache from my neck being in such an unnatural position all night. Thankfully, I had found a comfy position eventually. I used to work Graveyard Shift of being a Tier Walker (we had to go around every 30 minutes opposite the CO's and check each room for obvious reasons) so at 7:00 am, I had usually been so exhausted that I would fall asleep before I even hit that pillow. :( Forget breakfast...I would sleep until almost dinner time, get up, eat one meal a day (I slept through lunch more often than not also), take a shower or bullshit with the ladies on our Block, relax until lockdown, then wait until I was called back out for my shift. They would provide a small bag lunch at about 2-3 am every night and I had the whole Block to myself. I got to watch what I wanted...it was so nice. By the way, it isn't barbed wire...it is RAZOR wire and I got a good look at it every day for a whole year. Prison is NOT somewhere you guys wanna be. Believe me.
ive done 3 years myself and i would’ve killed to have a job ike that! I love to be alone especially when you’re surrounded by idiots plus time would go by much faster if youre sleeping most of the day when all the fucked up shit happens!
I find it funny that most abandoned buildings are usually vandalised but this one is not probably because its a former prison and it creeps criminals out 2 close 4 comfort
After watching a lot of these, I have decided that places where bad things have happened, or evil people have lived/died, seem to deteriorate a lot faster than places where happy healthy people lived/died. It is almost as if the evil/trauma gets embedded in the structure and eats away at it. Like a residual energy rots it away as opposed to normal neglect and decay or vandalism. I think sometimes even vandals can feel the negative energy and leave without damaging the property. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
I love the "chairs just chilling quota". I just started watching you guys a few weeks ago. Love the vids! I can't stop watching between your vids and the Exploring with Josh gang and co. :)
the thought just occurred to me; if they do get caught and arrested without a warning onsite, can these videos be used as evidence for a more severe punishment?
The thing I like about you guys is that you don't go around touching everything, you essentially try to leave everything as is. Like you were never there.
segregation would be long term protected populations like incarcerated officers, prisoners who fear for their lives, etc. Isolation is punishment usually, temporary stays, or longer stays for more violent prisoners.
hey guys, I feel like you guys are one of the main RU-vid channels that make me twice as interested in exploring abandoned crazy places, maybe someday when I have enough money... keep up the good work fellas.
What a tragic waste of books. They could have donated them to other prisons, or a library. There are areas that don’t have budget for books and bookcases for libraries.
That's true for almost every multi-part video on all of RU-vid. Just like how audience retention goes down towards the end of a video, the same trend happens across multiple parts.
0:44 Galatians 6:9-10 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Philippians 2:13-16 'for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. ' 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 'Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. '
Well the pigeons should feel a bit safer...That mummified bird at 7:32 is a Cooper`s Hawk. They eat pigeons, and other birds. Oh, and that giant rat at !6:19 isn`t. It was an Opossum .....
The proper answer to "Dude, you understand how fucked we would be, if you closed that dor on me and I got locked in there?" would be "Can I have your Xbox then?"
Having watched most of the previous videos here I am amazed at how clean this place is. Mainly only paint peeling on the walls. No paint tagging has been done at all.
1.) That's an ole' Possum! 2.) I would sit there and read all those books. The only reason I'd ever do this is to find old things to read. 3.) I'm requesting more document/book stills and closeups! A bibliophile's gotta make a living somehow.
It’s interesting that any abandoned facility on the West coast of the US get’s trash almost immediately these days, vs the Esat coast. This place would have been completely graffitied and beat to crap within 2 years of being closed. There used to be a ton of abandoned mines and towns here in California, Arizona and Nevada that sat abandoned for decades that in the last 15 years have been destroyed by idiots and assholes that can’t look and leave. I’m in my 50’s and we used to explore these places and they were undisturbed. Not so anymore and it’s sad. I appreciate the respect you guys use when filming these places. Keep up the good work.
Brian Stemen they are tearing it down rn, it’s going to be gone in 6 months. It’s right next to the police station so it’s hard not to get caught. Still cool tho, been a few times.
Great video! I did not know about the swap from Thursdays to Fridays so after the 1st part I was waiting till Thursday for this part then when I was already to watch it and it never showed up in my notifications I was lie "Noooooo. Did they Die filming something else or something?" (always think the most extreem) then I saw it come in on friday and was like "OK!". Keep Up the good work!
With the loaction and the music, I half expected you to find a lazer rifle and some nuka cola caps in a drawer somewhere also 12:11 people with OCD be jizzin
As you can see your tax dollars get wasted everyday all those books left.behind those beds could of been used at the new facility smh... They u Just use tax dollars.and buy all new smh
Lots of prison books are donated after they are deemed too ratty for libraries. Sometimes when a building closes, no one thinks it's going to be abandoned. Sometimes the owners don't have anywhere to put 500 beds... I can keep going hopefully by now you see how this can happen and it's not as simple as you seem to think
Nick Pizzi they most likely give them a warning but if they catch them again they'll probably give them a ticket for trespassing if it has a no trespassing sign
