IIRC this island was the first island only a selected few people got to play on before the demo release. Back then the game was quite different and had fewer resources, which means that island is missing key resources to craft and build stuff. But since this episode is abit old, the island was removed a few patches ago, to make room for another biom.

If you aren't going to terminate bots, but just break them apart, they will heal and come back at you. If you take a few of their wheels or their chassis, then they cannot completely heal. This is why you were getting swarmed at your cold area base, because they were healing and growing in number. Also, where you built the dirt ramp at the bach of your cold base, you need to continue it behind the base into the water to block bots from attacking it at that area.

Impressive flying! Good fuel consumption and watching. I wonder if you can name your tech bases so they show up on the map as "Ice Base", "Factory" "Island Base" etc... Now if you only could build base defense turrets.... DEVS? Oh, can you color base blocks? Make an octagon landing pad (Helipad) with a cross landing mark.. :)

Thanks it's challenging flying with the limited controls. I don't think you can name base locations yet. And as of now you can't paint your base. But I can build a landing platform. LOL 👍

try using the rapid fire weapon mounts mounted all sides of a weapon

Gotta explore and collect dude. you don't know what resources or weapons that could be out there in that island. my inner loot goblin cringes when you just pass by good parts without checking. I know you don't want to overload your weight, but you can put extra in a base on the island, and then build something to collect them, and keep them there if you don't want to take it with you. Resources are worth trying for, as they seem to always be adding new things.. in fact that island gives me a dev sandbox vibe. Somewhere in game they can test new things.

Well, the island is gone now. I knew it was going away, that's why I didn't build our explore it much.
