A few suggestions: - if you very carefully ladeled out the broth when it's done and did not disrupt the the fish/veggies, the broth would be clear. Good technique and aesthetically pleasing. After you removed the first batch of broth you could probably add water back and make another round. If you added in some lobster shells or shrimp shells your broth would be even better/ more complex. - with some of the excess broth, put it back in the pot and reduce it by like 80%. Then take this remaining very concentrated broth and put it in ice cube trays and freeze. Use a cube or two to flavor sauces, rice, etc. (fra diavolo for example) The layers and intensity of flavor by adding the concentrate will blow you away. Lasts a long time in the freezer.

Congrats to Madeline new career. I love the mangrove dives and spear fishing. It does remind me of the South Pacific, specifically The Island of Yap where I was born. It was my most memorable moments as a kid, playing with my friends and fishing the mangroves. Yep, mangrove snappers. Delicious.

Florida Native.. Grew up in Homestead.. As an child, the mangroves were my hangout! So much life! I moved away many years ago, but would almost sell my soul to be back.. Love all your content, as it brings me home, for a short time! Back in the day, I knew the mangroves and navigated them like an pro. Never got lost.. NO GPS.. just a kid, a raft, and time! My Mom's rules were.. home before dark, but no restraints on where I went.. I had many many square miles of the groves charted in my head! Would love to go back, and see what time has done!

As far as the garden, if you are renting keep it clean, anytime you upgrade it it's just money in the landlord's pocket from your pocket. If you own it than the sky's the limit have fun, I have always been on the side of functional. The best and worst boss to work for is yourself. Thanks a lot for the video.

That soup reminds me of Phó that I eat here in Washington State. I would love to try it your way. Thank you so much for the extra time you put in your videos. When my mobility gets back to normal ( after dealing with chemo, 120 days stay in a hospital, rehab for almost a year)there are 2 places on my list to go. They are Florida so I can fish, and to return to my fav place In Kauai. I am just starting to walk….yay! Congratulations to Madeline in her life decisions. She will not turn back or regret it. Last year, I retired from nursing for 43 years. I do regret to not changing my occupation at times, especially the last 5 years. Do whatever you like to do and what makes one happy, before it’s too late!

Great job again Aaron! And congrats to Madeline and her new life adventures. I’ve been making grouper head soup since I was a kid. You did it right my friend! Of course, you can always add more too it. I add green peppers and fresh herbs to mine. When I lived in the Bahamas I learned to add scotch bonnet peppers and canned tomatoes. Oh lord!! Great job man!

Also only thing I might do different is use the pot strainer when you’re cooking so you don’t have to dump from one pot to another but as a restaurant owner I won’t change anything!!

Great recipe, I make a Canadian indigenous people salmon soup very similar , we add potatoes and carrots (probably what was available on reservation in the winter) but a clear broth YUMMY!

I love this kind of video. I dig the big offshore stuff too but this was super cool. Exactly what I would want to do if I were there. Truthfully the majority of the underwater shots were amazing. I think the second camera is a big help. I really like the little boat too.

And honestly you becoming my favorite RU-vid I found your channel through blue Gabe when you took them fishing Not too long ago you're just so honest and so thankful for people watching you do your everyday life you don't try to sell us a million things or you don't try to do too much and you always apologize for the little stuff That's why I always watch every episode And we like when you talk and educate us on a lot of the stuff down there in Key West I'm from Virginia So I watch all your videos because I love Florida fishing Thanks do not change Aaron... Very well put! Aaron is the sort of person that doesn't let success get to his head and always has his ego in check. The honesty shines through and his care for the environment and wildlife is beyond reproach. None of those other youtubers you mentioned can touch his authenticity. Just as a side note - I also watched DMFD for many years. He always showed good family values and proudly displayed his piety. Then he got Covid-19 - expressed his unvaccinated status - and got very sick. His wife and many around him also became infected yet no Mea Culpa. He was in the perfect position with over 3 million subscribers to reach many people at a time earlier in the pandemic - when so much misinformation was being propagated. To use his platform to be part of the solution and perhaps save lives of some of the followers that where specifically asking for his advice. Instead of directing people to a healthcare professional or anything helpful, he chose to ignore those subjects. He by know means was alone in that approach and all the others are equally complicit. Looking back perhaps I may have judged harshly but maybe the death toll in the USA could have been a few less than the over one million souls that have perished to date. [steps off soap box to go catch soap fish] Peace, Love, and Light to All

Just came back from the Keys for the very first time last night and it was an AMAZING trip, you are truly living in paradise man! I love everything about the Keys, laid back, beautiful. if you would like to get more fine particles out of the broth you could add some chees cloth over the strainer to get more filtration. there are many types of cheese cloth and I seem to remember finding something labeled cheese muslin that worked excellently for straining broths. For reference I really hate particulates in my broth.

glad you enjoy it! and too hot down here for oysters. conch is illegal to harvest. and I would but it would have to be the same price as a regular charter which isn't ideal for someone just looking to take photos.

Being a new Gheenoe (Standard 15'6") owner, I've watched this video twice, just for the boat. :) Mine is awesome with a tiller 9.9, but i have big motor envy now. I bet sinking the spurs in that 50 is insane.
