It’s crazy how many mansions similar to this and other historical homes, have been demolished in the Toronto and surrounding area all four new houses or highways.
Impressive. It looks lonely. I can imagine it with people and furnishings, light, and warmth. Too bad it will be turned to piles of rubble. Thank you for the tour. I love your videos.
the cassette in the wall may have been an answering machine rather that for entertainment. The sit down tub in the 2nd bathroom is very common now. I was surprised to see it in older home though. it’s mainly for older people who may not be able to step over the edge of a regular tub, yet this allows them to get the relief of a bath.
So theUsa is not the only company to waste resources. My Dad had a farm outside of Philadelphia..he had to sell because land was getting too expensive to farm…developers wanted it. It’s a shame to lose small farms where animals were treated well. Land near cities is very expensive and cities keep pushing out boundaries.
This home was for a family and extended family with aging parents and by the set up and decor i bet they were Italian! They put all the equipment to aid seniors! The wine canteen gallon jugs gave it away with the nursery! Homemade wine! Juding by the area this might be in the milton arez where alot of Italian farmers settled to farm and grow vegetables!
The walker over toilet is not just for elderly - those with disabilities may use these as well.im leaning in that direction, considering elevator as well
I don’t believe this house was abandoned. The original owners either died or went to a nursing home and the kids took what they wanted and sold the property. They probably had a few kids looks like they were Italian. I recognized what you called water jugs on the front entrance they are called “damigane” when you make home made wine you put it in there. My Dad made wine he had a few of them. My father build a house of this caliber in Etobicoke on 1 acre thankfully the family the bought it didn’t tear it down to build a modern style house in its place. The family who bought still live there and love it! I will always be great full for the hard work my parents did so they could leave a wonderful legacy that I cherish. This house reminds of that sorry to see it go. PS I kept the dining room chandelier and have it in my master bedroom ❤️ I would love to know what part of the city if it’s off the 400.
That’s a walk in tub for older people. Regular bathtubs are not practical as you age-I don’t like them at all. I have a walk in shower and love it!! And am I the only one who wonders where the food will come from if all the farm land is taken up with warehouses and homes? I don’t see this as being a good thing.
This house just screens older people.. Especially the decorating. I know you liked the tiles but to me, they were tacky af. All the curtains were super ugly as well. Great find though. Thanks for sharing
The things you're finding on the wall that you're calling a radio or to answer the front door those are called intercoms those are for to talk to the people inside the house as well as answer the door and the thing inside the thing that you call the radio it's called a cassette that was a cassette player in an intercom and you don't know what the word practical means do you when you were talking about the elevator you said elevator is practical for the house no it's not how you would say that is you would say the elevator is not practical for the house
Lighten up Francis, He said it was an intercom system and I didn't hear him ask for any producers, directors or editors so if you're so worried about it go make your own videos
A few things I knew that you didn’t; - intercom system - cassette tape - toaster oven - great room (2 story room) A few things that you pointed out I didn’t know 🤷🏻♀️ From watching your videos I have learned what a “McMansion” is 😄 This house was beautiful, the staircases were gorgeous. Very cool find and tour, thank you!
7:12~walk in bathtub. For someone who enjoys baths yet can not get into a regular bathtub. Usually for medical reasons or elderly. Makes you wonder what the back story/history of such an astonishing, exquisite home of elegance is. So unbelievably sad …..
its charming that you seem to genuinely not be aware of why certain scenes were left in the states you find them, but OMG! supercringe sometimes the stuff that I've seen you overlook. Please be safe. Luv ur work! Might take a closer look into the contents of that hobby garden...see what I'm saying? Somebody raised you right which restores my faith in humanities future. Ya seem like a great kid and that gives me a sense of pride for some reason.
If they're going to demo that beautiful mansion why don't they let habitat for humanity come out and get the lights in the chandeliers and the cabinets and the doors and the windows and stuff I'm sure it'll be a tax write-off. ??
I love that you are appreciating beautiful “old” homes. It is DISGUSTING to see so much homes, open land and property being DESTROYED for that sake of “progress”
It looks to me like older people were living there, the walk in bath, the toilet seat and the deep washing sinks to wash clothes before going in the washing machine, and in general the decoration of the place, another great video! Thanx 😊
Well looks like this home was once owned by disabled grandparent that passed away and sold for profit. Really sad that such good and cool houses get demolished for copy paste neighbours.
Y'all should try to find the "crime scene / Asian sex trafficing" house while you're up there, it was a house stuck in time in the late 90's with black finger prints dust everywhere, literally 100's of suitcases and everything left behind. I'll post the link if I can find it
I judged you kids wrongly & harshly not understanding your not just clickbaiting but showing how foreign mega corporations are destroying America, I was wrong your doing good work but have to hype it up, good on ya kid
Guessing a $16M mansion is probably the price of all the land the mansion was built on, especially if the previous owners were farmers. Guessing the $16M includes a substantial amount of farmland.
Sweetie doesn’t mean they are old, it has have an elevator and they have a walk-in tub because somebody might have been disabled. I can’t believe that cost 16 million. I could live in the sunroom.
It was built for 3.5M and sold for 16.5M. The developer is going to build homes on all that farmland that is pure stupidity but that is the human nature.
It’s unbelievable those beautiful houses you are exploring, supposing you found stuff you wanted?,could you just take it? Why did the people just leave without taking their possessions with them . I’m from the UK and find your videos very interesting but baffling also
There was this huge mansion that was behind my school, it had a four car garage and 1 RV garage, 2 huge balconies the mansion was very nice it was about big as this mansion you explored. When we would go outside during lunch there would be no cars in front of the mansion we did not know if someone lived in it or was abandoned. The property was bought by devoloper's (just the land) and the owner's of the mansion moved it by a trailer and truck, and now the mansion is near a highway (I see the house when I go to the highway. The place where the house was moved from, there are now big custom made homes built there.
At 6:45, I would not use that with a toothbrush. That is the battery operated Mr. Clean shower cleaner into which you pop the solution bottles that you called soap into. The goal was to stop the water spots and keep the shower clean. I still used scrubbing bubbles in between bathroom cleanings. The dispenser was battery operated and you just press a button when you are done.
