This video is a piece of Art Paddy, very emotive. My Dad used to play music in that wee bar, I always mind the lovely building and helping him carry in the gear. He passed away a few months ago. Nice wee memory to see today, thanks for putting this together.
Very atmospheric video there Paddy - it's sad how quick a place goes downhill without the heating on and a bit of life about it. 2004 was the date on that magazine - not that long ago really.
Aye, i think it closed up around 15 years ago. Not sure why but declining salmon numbers probably played a part. The fish just aren't there the way they used to be.
Thank you. Sad. Some happy memories there for someone I guess but someone's dreams tied up in it, too. Perhaps the fishing just went off and the custom died.
Thanks Tom. I never had a drink there. I was only ever inside that building once when I was still at school at a local man brought a few of us up for a days fishing. I've been itching to see inside it ever since.
