This was my first time in Germany and I loved this area in the Berchtesgaden National Park. I did a bit of live narration and some whilst editing. I call the live narration me rambling on 😂 I was thinking of doing a poll of what my subscribers like. What a beautiful place! That town is beautiful and the scenery of the mountains on the background is just amazing. That cemetery has to be one of the most beautiful cemeterys I have ever seen! The views are absolutely stunning... Cemeteries can be so interesting... I walked through one recently and spent two hours just reading the headstones.... All the buildings look so well kept and clean...just lovely. A wonderful little chapel and that fountain at the end was super cool. An awesome tour Paul... wonderful work buddy. ✌️

That church it tiny, we have them here but I have never really thought of what they signify because they are so small that 5 people can`t go inside. Thanks again for a really lovely share, the views are brilliant and the video really well done.

Hi Anita, I think the first bit of crunching noise came at the cemetery explore. I did a mix and match of live commentary and filled any gaps in with narration. I think it gets busier during the day and there are perhaps some good spots for a stealth camp. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. I certainly had one or 2 beers that evening with my meal. Morning Paul I'm loving your German series and this was so beautiful here. The views from the bridge of the river and its lovely colour were gorgeous and the architecture is wonderful around here when you walked through the streets. That chapel was really adorable, like one from a Christmas village scene 😃 and the views of the mountains from up there were sooo beautiful. Hi Anna, that's good cos I have a lot more to come from Germany and this area. The Berchtesgadener Ache certainly had a lovely distinctive coloiur coupled with that view towards the Watzmann mountain. The architecture around the streets was all new to me with it being my first time proper in Germany. And I'd always wanted to visit the chapel after seeing photos of it on Google. I seemed to pick a good time to go at sunset as it was also a hermit friendly time. The fountain was pretty cool and a nice find on the way back to the hotel. What a stunning place Paul - definitely putting this on the list for our trip next year. The colour of the river is incredible and that bridge just so pretty. Beautiful old town and the view of Sunset from the chapel is amazing! And the fountains to finish. Very beautiful We’re travelling to Austria next year through the Black Forest and Bavaria so this is on the way and not too far from our destination in Austria. 👍👍 Have a good rest of the week mate

Hi Paul This looked like a great place to stay for a while. The town, full of character with lovely pavement cafes and interesting architecture, the buildings getting grander in scale with even more features as you progressed towards the outskirts. Surrounded by those fabulous mountains it looked idyllic. Pleased you made it to the chapel in time for sunset … what a setting and gosh really wasn’t expecting that stunning interior. Wow 😊

I do have the Eagles Nest tour on a clear sunny day to come but might leave it until after Xmas for better impact. The bone house I mentioned was interesting and unique. Hi Paul This hiking a little different from your usual hike. town walking tour, history, architecture and your regular hike that make this film very unique. Hiking/walking trail is filled with crunchy gravels everytime you make step..haha The water of the color is definitely one of the kinds. The scale of the cemetery is just like FL. Endless field..Lately it isrequired the flat tombstones, so maintenance /mowing easier. I was amazed by how pristine the water is oh eagle tour??? Look forward to it It is fabulous to look down the town as you ascend. so quite.. Wow the inside of the church is tidy and tiny. I didn't know if you are allowed to enter this church. Ohhh Gopro is not good filming once you lose the natural light... OMG, The town is like a ghost town. No Neon..no crowd..Now I know why you like it.. HI Ms Kayak, yeah it was a bit of a walk and talk. Something I don't usually do and did some of my narration. There seemed be a lot of gravel paths for that crunching noise. I was staying right next to the river and could see it from my room. I may have the views from my room in an up and coming video. I have so many to do yet. The cemetery looked well kept. Oh yes I will be doing a video of a tour of Hitler's Eagles Nest but may be after Christmas for better impact. That will probably be a mix of live talk and narration. Oh and I will appear in the video. The town was really lovely and so was the little chapel. I think both get busier during the day but I went at hermit time ha ha. And yeah the GoPro wasn't the best once the natural light had gone. There are perhaps settings that can make it better but I have not found them yet. I don't film when it's dark much so won't worry about it. I guess it would be good to have a good set up for night filming tho. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. We enjoyed the tour of Berchtesgaden Paul. Loved the old German architecture with all the woodwork. Beautiful chapel in such an idyllic setting and Castle near the end. Was that a filming location for the German castle scene in Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail? (answered my own question though google. I had to look if Berchtesgaden castle was used in the Indiana Jones movies and saw no reference to it. However there were some scenes shot for it in the area and some reference to the salt mines in the area being used. I'm not sure I have one but I had wanted to visit this little chapel for a while. Berchtesgaden was a trip that got cancelled on me because of the pandemic. I will have to say Google more often. In fact I know I say it at least once in another up and coming video which was the best day of my whole trip. It was great to get up to the chapel for sunset and before the last of the light went. English pronunciations of German towns just crack me off. The area is really beautiful, seems like I have to visit some time. How did you manage to find so few people at some of the locations? Just lucky with the time in the evening?
I'm chuckling here because I got chatting to quite a few German people whilst over there and had some good banter. I'm like I've just been to such a place and they're like where. Oh you mean...ha ha ha. I'm like yeah that's what I said ha ha ha. So hopefully the video will give German people a laugh and they won't get annoyed with me. I never actually went into the town of Berchtesgaden during the day or up to the Kirchleitn Kapelle but I suspect both are significantly more busy. Up near the Kirchleitn Kapelle I'm sure I saw a fast food van shut up for the day. So yeah I guess I just got lucky going at hermit time. And I've not even started with videos from this area. The last 2 videos, views wise, are just the aperitifs for what's to come. Trying my hand at French now 😂 I'd certainly recommend a trip to the area to anyone without a second thought.
