When you started the blog, you said you were in Burry Port, but you were in Pwll. My Dad was born there, and I was born in Burry Port. The bar next to the Neptune is still a men only bar. You missed Saint Mary's Church and a lovely view from the Graig, which is right at the top of Burry Port .
Arron told me after that the room was in Pwll not Burryport. I think we walked through it on the first day. I know we went to a church where Nepolians Neice was buried but didn't go in because it was late. I hear there was an amazing view where you can see shipwrecks and stuff like that maybe that's the view your on about. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoyed the tour. You fond with places like this we always miss amazing things, gives us a reason to go back :)
There is more to the town, history, industrial heritage , two harbours , One of the oldest Golf Clubs in Wales, Cefn Sidan 7 miles of beach where the RAF practice beach land and take off, ship wrecks. RAF Pembrey where in WW2 a German Pilot landed in a secret plane thinking he was in France because of the mountains surrounding us it confused his radar, he was arrested and the plane was taken away to be invesigated. The Americans stationed here and trained for the DDay landings. We are a small town but with a big Heart. Summer we are full to bursting with tourists.
Martin dosent own the pub anymore the bloke who owened it kicked the family out after he finished the work upstairs. Topman he is I have a pint with him 🤝🏼
2:45 Look Mike and Aron, A local shop for local people. 9:25 Aaron's face when you said "There's a TARDIS". I would of knock on there door, not the TARDIS, the house and ask there about the TARDIS. 10:15 Aaron is the Music man, what can you play. 12:15 WOW! Well spotted Mike and Aaron for his knowledge. The local liked your DJI so much you put in twice. 20:50 its good to chat to locals to find out about where you visit, Thank you Andy. 24:30 What great hosts Martin and Les from The Neptune for the tour. This Vlog was Spudlicious. When is the Ghost vlog of the Neptune?
You missed the rest of the shops, you turned left instead of going straight down....The biker bar( Portobello or the Zoo) sells all its drinks at £2.50.....Everything!
Thank you matey. I was actually surprised how such a small town has so much history to it. That wall was such a good little find, I love it when people say 'There's nothing there' because you always find something, just need a little bit of enthusiasm lol Thank you again, glad you enjoyed the video.
Great vlog. I really didn't realise that Amelia Earhart landed in Bury port since I was looking into the mystery of her disappearance.....and it's an hour away from me. And Napoleon's niece wow....Would love you to come near my town and have a look around Llantrisant.
@@Spudboys well there's a castle ruins, and loveky walks.... the historic guild Hall where there is small town called the bull ring and its famous for there ghost walks also... spooky at night...Then you can pop to talbot green village which is ten minutes from Llantrisant...buses run all the time. Then Cowbridge village is 20 mins or so away and there they have the physic gardens which is very interesting also and great walks.
