I had a buddy his boss had a place on the Rainbow River right where it meets the Withlacoochee River back in the early 70s. we could see a lots of 5 to 10 lbs. fish, hard to catch in that gin clear water only thing we catch some on was live shiners.
Nice production, but rather miss leading. The drone shots were not on the Rainbow River. They might have been on the Withlacoochee River ? Rainbow is all no wake and is narrow. It also gets full of tubers and canoes. The Rainbow River ties into the Withlacoochee River and Lake Rousseau, and both are excellent fisheries. FYI, the channel markers in the W River and lake are not there by accident , extremely stumpy. I just thought I would clarify for anyone that may be expecting something different for the Rainbow River. Once again, very nice production.
I'm about to get my uncle's old boat back in the water. I live a few miles from the withlacoochee. Can you give a guy some pointers? I really want to start on the stretch near Goldendale
If you want a guarantee of success, toss in a little mepps spinner and hit the docks. I slay sunfish, and caught several bass with it. I'm working on getting down to the bigger guys though.
