In this video, we explore the breathtaking beauty of Jekyll Island Driftwood Beach with its haunting trees and mesmerizing sunsets, showing the artistry of God. Watch as flocks of pelicans soar gracefully in perfect formation as they scout for fish, and then dive straight down into the waters to capture their dinner.
Experience the simplicity and beauty of a wedding ceremony on the beach, with the perfect backdrop of the ocean, trees, and a sunset.
Our adventure continues at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, where we honor the dedicated stewards rehabilitating injured turtles and educating the public about these magnificent creatures.
We also tour some historic sites on the island, including the "Chapel" from 1904, famous for its beautiful stained glass windows. Described as a vivid composition in rich tones, the window portrays the theme “David Set Singers Before the Lord.” David, seated on a throne in kingly garb, appears in the act of commanding the singers to dedicate their music to God. An angel overhead bears a scroll proclaiming “I will sing unto the Lord for He has triumphed gloriously.”
The chapel reminds us of how big the kingdom of God is, and we remember the generations of believers that have preceded us. I stroll through a grove of majestic live oak trees, teeming with Spanish moss. In stark contrast to the chapel, this is a sanctuary created, not by human hands, but by God himself. As we admire these beautiful creations, and all of the nature that we saw at Jekyll Island, we pause and give God the glory for it all!
