Hi Hailey, thanks so much for including Hardcover in your video! We're about 3-years in, but this is only the 2nd mention on RU-vid, so anyone who joins now could consider themselves an early adopter. 😂 I'm glad Jules could help you find a new book! 📚

I'm one of the few people who shifted totally to Hardcover after watching the other RU-vidr's video 😅 great app, thanks guys

This is awesome. I won a digital book and a paper book from Storygraph's giveaways. I was shocked I won twice.

I didn't see you first video about Goodreads, but I've switched over to SG full time about 3 years ago and never looked back. I still update my GR every couple of months to update the data in case I can only import through it. Something I noticed you might have missed on SG is that they also have the reading streak feature like the one on fable, but you need to togle the streak option in your preferences for it to show up. Then, it's gonna be visible on your home page where you'll have a small flame symbol with a streak number above your currently reading list. You can customize how many pages/min you want to read in a day or in a given time period. Also, I noticed is that you use your CR as your Owened shelf but there is actually an Owned shelf option builed in to SG. On any book page there is a table on the right side of the reading status, reading journal and add to reading challenge options. Just below that is the button to mark that edition as owned. You can access the list of those books marked on your profile page under TBR list. This is great to use because there is an option when using filters on the site to mark that you want them you give you options of the books you own which are pulled from that built-in shelf on the site. I hope this helped anyone. ❤

Storygraph has a way to track books you own! If I remember correctly, on the book’s page, you’d click the 3 dots and it’s a button next to “buy.” Once you mark a few as Owned, it’ll be a section on your profile! Mine appears under the 5 star section. My owned shelf isn’t updated because I always forget it’s there. I tend to track my owned books in a spreadsheet or in a reading challenge! I like the reading challenge feature because it shows the book covers, percentage read, and highlights the box when it’s read!

I installed Storygraph after your previous video on the matter and allowed myself some time to see if it’s a right fit for me. And today I actually deleted my goodreads account for good. Absolutely love Storygraph, thank you for the push)

Just signed up to Hardcover! A review I had post was deleted as well yesterday and the whole situation has left such a bad taste in my mouth. Here's to greener pastures and better book recs to us all! lol

Skoob is a huge platform here in Brazil, especially inside the booktube community. Even though English speakers can't enjoy 100% of the site, was nice to see in your video ✨

StoryGraph’s recommendations have worked so well for me! I’ve been picking up books from their recommendations section and their “up next” section. So far so good!! Also I just love the app, they check off all my boxes and continue to exceed my expectations

storygraph also has owned books! if you click on the three dots next to the blue button you can mark the book as owned, and you can see them on your profile in a box like your read books and tbr

LibraryThing language change: go to Profile, Account Settings, Primary Language
@AnoukeSu

I maintain our small church library and use LibraryThing for our catalog. There are language options. It’s pretty no frills, simple, utilitarian and straightforward. I do like that anyone with the link can view the books available. It’s easy to put books in the library’s catalog. Great free setup for a library, but I’ve actually never even noticed any social interaction options, except that the inventory is visible to others. I should dig around any new options.

Checking out Hardcover. Fable looks like the polished version of storygraph, but I think its too cluttered with the social aspect and the tv show tab (why did they add that?). Wiill still use it for a while. Does the Hardcover app allow tracking of book formats?

I really love using the timer in Bookmory to stay on task and then if you use it through the whole book it gives you a breakdown of how long you took to read it

There's one thing that Goodreads offers that I've not seen on SG and it's a shame & when I asked SG if they'd add it they didn't seem interested at all and that is the ability to see what books you have in common with other readers. I like to see what I have in common with potential friends but I don't have time to scroll through 100s of books manually.

I use my local library as much as I can - and that’s a lot, Library Thing and Goodreads can link to library catalogs and show availability (including formats). There’s a link to go directly to your library site and check out a book or put it on hold. Game changer!!

I win lots of giveaways on GR. You have to enter them all every day basically. But I tried to export my info to SG and it didn't work so right now I'm still on GR.

If skoob is on a browser than you can have it automatic translate to your language. I believe It's in your device settings.

I watched this video this morning. I was already apart of TheStoryGraph. My problem with going fully to TSG is the shelves I need them I need categories and lists. But after logging into GR and seeing over 400 books I put on specialty shelves that I read/rated/reviewed had the info removed and just put on the read shelf. I’m done. I put so much time into my reading and organization the fact that GR is continuously messing up my shelves is unacceptable and I’m permanently leaving them now.

That was ABSOLUTELY wild for me!! LibraryThing was in Albanian. I can't believe that's one of the comments you got such a small country. too Funny! I will definitely look it up, thank you for including this even though it's not as common as Spanish/Portuguese.
