Let’s do the libs one better. Introduce Grizzly Bear into New York Central Park. Plenty of natural bear food in the park. See how the libs like that.

They, and other critters have been slowly working their way south for decades. Hell, we even got a pic of a wolverine headed down as well. Then there was the recent pic of a moose in Mt Rainier NP. Sometimes its better to let nature work this stuff out. Everyone step back and take a breath….especially you experts.

If the Grizzly bear returns to the area and thrives, the region will in some ways become a no go zone for humans.Regardless of how we feel about it ;there is no back country safety in relation to Grizzly bears.

People keep moving into bear country and then demanding there be no bears there. I lived in the Kenai Peninsula area in Alaska in the 80’s and when your in those areas you learn to live together with bears. If you want to live in areas without bears, move to New York City. We need to preserve wild areas.

@@kevinclark1842 I cant recommend moving to NYC at the moment but you have a point . If we cant make cities more livable then there will be a constant exodus from the cities .

Millions of people recreate in North American Grizzly/Brown Bear country annually, with an average of less than 2 fatal attacks per year. Certainly one must take the necessary precautions and be cognizant of the risks, but it is hyperbolic to call it a "no go zone for humans."

@@recurrenTopology it could be called hyperbolic or common sense .it all depends on how much you like risks .Please show the data on millions in grizzly country annually .Show data that indicates people recreating overnight in tents , not driving through Yellowstone or Denali .

Sorry...but I do not buy into this concept of distributing large, dangerous to humans carnivores. Let Nature take it's course...we do not need a more cautious "petting zoo" environment for the many hundreds of hikers to deal with.

They are not dangerous to humans with proper precautions. Besides, the environment, us included, needs them back more than it would harm us to have them.
