I live in Guadalajara half of year and it’s very safe and walkable. Obviously like any big city there are some areas that are not as nice but overall I have never felt in danger from anything. Since your dad is near the county club area you are in one of the safest areas. I love the CityMarket by his apartment.
Beautiful. Wow the cemetery alone is what many movies and coco looked for inspiration. Like from a Hollywood film. Crazy how it’s now a museum. As it should.
I am always happy to see a new post from you. I can see why you like Guadalajara. I live in the US but have been to several places in Mexico over 50 years and always had a great time. I also had fun looking into my family ancestry. I found records back to 1577. I had a famous grandfather and visited his grave inside Pieterskerk in Leiden, Holland. Looking forward to your next publication.

No se si sepas pero México y otros países de Latinoamérica como Chile y Argentina son destinos por excelencia para venir a dar a luz. Un gran número de mujeres rusas viajan a estos países para poder dar a luz y que sus hijos al nacer tengan la nacionalidad y el pasaporte de estos países ya que el pasaporte ruso está muy restringido en el mundo occidental, y a los rusos les ponen muchas trabas para viajar en Europa y otros países. La razon de por que eligen América Latina es debido a que aca no le ponen tantas trabas a los rusos y el pasaporte es fuerte comparado con el de ellos. El pasaporte mexicano te permite viajar por la UE, Reino Unido, Nueva Zelanda y Canadá sin necesidad de visa. En Cancún hay una comunidad ENORME de familias jóvenes rusas con 3-4 hijos todos nacidos en México, y desde que empezó la guerra el número de familias que han emigrado de rusia a México creció muchísimo.
Si, pero las tumbas estaban completamente destruidas y el historiador del panteón no pudo encontrar mis ancestros en su registro, puede ser que los parientes están en la fosa común al lado del panteón donde han construido un nuevo hospital encima
