Very well done guys!! This is the most detailed video of holetown I ever seen.. it's so different from when I live in barbados. Keep up the great work as always.
First time I went Barbados, we stayed in hometown, opposite the memorial was a restaurant with a boat inside, and hotel we stayed in was called inn on the beach, it was quite a few years ago
My wife and I got married on the beach at Discovery Bay in 1990, and we came back to see her niece who lives on Barbados get married in 2003. Lovely island!
I'm glad I found your videos. In my 60s im feeling Barbados and Holetown is the only place I'd want to spend winter months from Canada. Especially Sunset Crest. I hope to be there one of these days soon. I just didn't realize this video was 4 years old!!
Hi guys, great videos. I go to Barbados in a few weeks, i was wondering if you could do a video of best food / places to eat suggestions. Thanks in advance
It depends on where you are staying. We love Just Grillin in Holetown and Lemongrass in Limegrove, if you are heading further north then you must stop in Fishermans Pub for some proper Bajan food! Oistins is also great on a Friday night but go early!!! We will try and get a video done but we will be travelling this week for 3 weeks! Feel free to message us on Facebook or Instagram if you want some more reccomendations
Wow very nice detailed video. I subscribed. I actually lived in Payne’s bay up top dee hill and went to St. James secondary when I was little. I need to make a trip back. Keep up the good work.
We just came back from Barbados. We stayed at Apes Hill, and were in Holetown and Massy on a daily basis! Our favorite was Just Grillin! Closely followed by Nishi and Tides!
LOL I told Jason we HAD to include Massy 😂😂😂 he laughed at me but you do end up spending a lot of time there! Just Grillin is our favourite!!!! Did you try Lemongrass at all?
Thank you so much for watching! That's wonderful to hear you ate coming in the summer. We are hopeful that things will return to some normality by then. In any case I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.
that was good guys .. love it ...me and my now wife ... got married in BARBS ... as i now call it lol.... 2 years ago and are coming back on the 5th july ... west side ... beach view hotel i think its called.... about a 15 min drive from holetown ...... so this blog of youres is great !!!
I love Holetown and its laid back vibe, I used to be a regular visitor but the prices have really risen over the last few years and coupled with a poor performance from the pound against the dollar I have had to look elsewhere. Nishi is a lovely restaurant but they want $77 for a cottage pie ( basically some cooked mince with mashed potatoes on top baked in the oven) there can't be $7 worth of ingredients! lol But everywhere is the same prices are going up and up. Just Grillin give good value for money but its not a dinner out sorta place that you would pick to get dressed up to go to, its more of a walked off the beach and I'm hungry sorta place. It's a shame really as this will only encourage more all-inclusive resorts to appear. Just my 2 cents worth, great video, really enjoyed it.
goatsears thank you so much for your feedback. We couldn’t agree with you more about the prices. As locals we definitely feel the consequences of the rising prices in Barbados. However, there are many places to find some really good value for food and beverage. The west coast of Barbados doesn’t really fit into that category although there might be a few small bars and restaurants that are quite reasonable but not exactly considered fine dining.
Love jus' grillin' always go to the one in hastings. Tides is a but out of our price range but we try to always go to Tapas and castaways! Missing Barbados right now 🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧
Hopefully , we can have you back on the island soon! Just a matter of time before things get back to "normal". Just Grillin is #1 in our books that's for sure.
@@WanderingBajans we were incredibly lucky to have 3 weeks in Barbados back in February befre things got crazy. Should be back again next year, normally come every year as its where we got married on the beach at coconut court!!
@@ailisonkelland well that was good timing for sure. If you can get back In May, it would be great as Im sure that it wont be as busy and bustling as it was back when you were here in February. If you were at Coconut Court you must have tried Ted's Tours??
@@WanderingBajans oh yes! The infamous ted! We did that thery first time! Greatvway to see the island if you've never been before! Love all the staff at coconut court! We're welcomed back like family every single time!!
Hi Amanda, thank you so much! There are so many taxi operators on the island. Also, most taxis are independently operated and not so much a Company. I'd recommend you try using the app pickUP. It's the UBER of taxis in Barbados.
Hi there, I'd have to say that there are many foreign and local Companies spanning many types of jobs. My best advice would be to have a look at immigration.gov.bb/pages/WorkPermit.aspx. Hope this helps! Thanks for stopping by our channel! 😊
@@WanderingBajans Can I buy a boat and rent out for income please? May I ask how can I get the license and do I need to take any driving test in Barbados please?
@@kwokkwongfranktam6960 You do have to get a boat license for Barbados. It requires you to perform a test on the water with your own boat as well as a written test. As far as buying a boat in Barbados, you can, but you would need to check the local classifieds for that, however, it depends on what type of boat you wish to get. There are no options in Barbados for purchasing new boats unless you wish to have a boat built.
@@kwokkwongfranktam6960 Boat pricing will vary. Your question is a very broad question as boat prices vary according to size among many other factors. Most people here purchase boats from the US or other countries. Our best advice is to look for a place outside of Barbados to purchase a boat and consider shipping it to Barbados.
