The Grand Bazaar (#Kapalı_Çarşı in #Turkish ) is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, located in the heart of historic Istanbul. It was constructed in the 15th century, shortly after the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople in 1453.
The #GrandBazaar covers an area of 30.7 hectares (76 acres) and consists of 61 covered streets and over 3,000 shops which attract between 250,000 to 400,000 visitors daily.
