There's one in Dubai too in the Dubai Mall. Next to the tallest building in the world. My favorite bookshop so far. It's huge but I want to visit the one in Japan the most
Oh another person who reads Japanese. I am so envious. I wanted so much to enjoy browsing in bookstores there but the English language sections in Japanese bookstores are tiny.
GCSEs start in three weeks so I've had to put my pleasurable reading on hold to Re-read required texts 😩 Thanks for making my day a little better Sasha xx *Edit* : Screw it. It's been two days and I can't bear it anymore... Oh precious books here I come 😅😅
Jess omg same. Cannot relate enough. Im stuck analysing set reads for the third or fourth time instead of reading something I actually like for the first time. GCSEs bloody suck. A stressful period with much needed Sasha content.
@@stacymartin8128 I've given up so stay strong for the both of us 😅 I've decided my happiness is more important than what Sheila Birling think of Eva Smith
Jess omgg An Inspector Calls! I wish we got to study that text instead of The Woman in Black. I personally find An Inspector Calls to be super interesting (the movie too what with my Remus Lupin as our main man Goole) but, then again, overanalysing can kill just about any literature. I will attempt to stay strong but I’m beginning to waver.
Me: *sees books, drools* Also me: *I gotta CATCH ‘EM ALL* Me again: *looks at empty kitty bank* I’m freakin’ broke, but do I care? HEL NAW, my BOOKS ARE CALLING!
Wouahh I didn't have the chance to visit a bookshop when I went to Tokyo a couple of years ago. But I definetly will see that one if I've the opportunity to going back 😀!
I think that bookstore is a big chain. They have Junkudo, too, at where I used to live in Japan. It has 6 floors and the English section is at the 5th floor :) I bought most of my books there. Just sharing my knowledge and opinion. Have fun in Japan!!!
Wow it’s so amazing you got to go to Japan and experience such an awesome, unique culture. I can’t wait until I can explore other countries too! I actually own that gorgeous copy of Alice in wonderland. I absolutely loved reading it
I haven’t watched your channel in so long and I decided to check your channel out again. I picked this not knowing Taran was in this video. I literally started to fan-girl when I saw him because I’m currently on the second book of the novice series and don’t find it that similar to Pokémon, I think it’s a cross between all kinds of books but it’s also very unique
I think Kinokuniya is a huge book store in Japan. ( That's the one I grew up going there so haha) I am so glad that you had a good time in Japan :) I love all your video
Omg STOP you came to japan?????? I’m from japan and I used to be such an avid watcher of your channel(until I got super busy with school and slowly drifted away from booktube😭) Also I’ve actually never been to that bookstore before! I often just stop by kinokuniya whenever I have the chance. I’m definitely gonna have to visit the next time I’m in central tokyo!!
the Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan books are also in America, they weren't made that way specifically for Japan. I saw them today at barnes and noble
I had that Bible stories book as a kid! Seen at about 4:40. Out of all the books, there's that not entirely popular children's Bible in Japan? So strange. Either way, I would love to visit this place. Nine floors?!? Yes please!
