$650 to turn it into a video? LOOOOL By far, the most ridiculous AI-tool pricing I have seen to date... These guys are way too greedy and they will lose to competition because of that!
Right now, what I understand is this is not a process built into their application - but they are manually creating the video. So, their fee is to cover their labor. Pricey in the world of AI processing - but in the world of video editing, not terrible.
With this platform - at present it seems you are limited to the style available with the platform of either sketch or cinematic using the StableDiffusion model THEY embedded in the platform. It is early yet, so in time, it may provide more variability.
Professional storyboarder here. I can see this affects my business quite a lot. Client demands will increase, schedules will decrease, and prices for my services will drop.
@internationalicon - you have valid concerns, because change IS on the horizon. But, your skills are NOT invalidated. In fact - they are going to be MORE in demand than ever. Even with "every person a photographer" with the advent of a SmartPhone (and large pixel cameras in your pocket) - we still needed the eye, the composition, the lighting, and the know-how of professionals to take the intentional portraits. Don't gauge the sell/value of your services based on the speed of output, the manner it is achieved - your VALUE is the STORY, the STRUCTURE, the nuanced DETAILS that people would not think to include. The complete connection from A to B with visual storyboards. Sell the solution. Provide the solution. Give the thing that others do not...
@@AI.Explore oh, believe me, I understand your point. I teach at a university, and I’ve given the same lecture. But I can point to my own bottom line and see the reality. Everyone has seen movies and thinks they know how they work. You and I know they need skilled people on the job, but they don’t know that.
@@AI.Explore that’s a fact, output of quality vs quality is a thing! If you don’t speak the language of that practice, and know your technical techniques… you’ve done nothing but reinforce your ignorance with tools.
I would agree. They are not a perfect match. There are other tools which deliver a more on-point render - but you were lacking the consistent character. All the tools are improving by the day, so these concerns are quickly disappearing. You are able to re-roll many times - to get the result you are after - and high quality renders versus sketch gives better results (I think).
Where these currently have a 'decent' file size, I would use another AI tool to upscale them. I have an article where I reviewed multiple upscalers. But you are absolutely correct. I was going to do a soon-video showing how to build assets and move them with After Effects!
@@AI.Explore That's a great answer. Ask a freelance animator what they'd charge to turn it into a video. $650 wouldn't get you very far. Or you could get another video out of this by comparing 3 different freelance animators on Fiverr using the same story board as a brief.

With video, It will be much more than a storytelling studio aimed at small niches. We will have the power to (easily) create vídeos for blog posts, for instance. And I think it could also be a VSL tool for ads. For me, today, Katalist looks like a tool for "Hollywood pros" to present their ideas. With video, the tool will be more helpful for more people. At least, I hope so ;)
Hello Brian, 😀I really enjoyed your video; it was very interesting indeed. I need your help. I sell clothing, from t-shirts to pants, but I want to use digital avatars. However, I can't find a company that allows me to dress the avatars in my designs. I don't need videos yet, but I do need photos similar to those of Instagram influencers. Do you know of any company that allows uploading, for example, a shirt and pants with my designs onto an avatar?
Glad you enjoyed the video. There are a number of tools that are 'promising' regarding dressing avatars - though none are 'perfect to style' - yet. The best option for starting, might be Refabric.ai - that will let you upload a picture of your clothes and the AI will put them on a person. Quality is pretty impressive.
It is interesting... I am MORE of a hands-on solutions guy, so I would tend to prefer doing layout in Keynote, making my images in Midjourney, creating voice-over in ElevenLabs... but as an all in one, this is not bad!
They have added since the video, the ability to upload other formats of scripts - so it bypasses the need! But you are absolutely correct - GPT could totally be utilized to export the script as a CSV.
Wow, cool tech, its like Stable-Diffusion combined with project management capabilities of something like Studio-Binder. Loved the tool and the presentation.
Great question Leo. I do not know where it will end up being priced. It was recently publicly released and I was told a whole new set of functionality is in the works for the NEXT release.
@@YvettePan-s7r - for Katalist, it does a pretty good job of maintaining consistency. There are other AI models that also have obtained character consistency (like Midjourney and Leonardo.ai).
I get it... it can feel overwhelming (and maybe a bit threatening)... but it is mostly algorithms that are trained to make processes faster, and smoother. You have been engaged with variations every single day - and I am not talking about Chat-GPT and Midjourney... but Netflix, Amazon, Apple Music / Spotify... all of these utilize systems that help cut out redundancies, improve outcomes and make things run smoother. That is a good thing. Before years end, I imagine that almost every application you engage with with will be AI enhanced. It was an algorithm that determined to deliver my video to you!
