PART 2 We made our way through the island, first based in the east side Coconut Coast which had easy access to many fantastic trailheads as well as the northern Napali Coast. We completed a full day hike on the Kalalau Trail as far as Hanakapi’ai Falls. The water crossings were the most difficult sections and we were lucky the trail had fairly ‘dry’ conditions. We then relocated to the west side in Waimea to spend a few days in Waimea Canyon, including a hike to the wettest place on earth in the Canyon.
