Just outside of Riga is the Latvian Ethnographic Open Air Museum and every year they host a large arts and crafts fair with tons of venders who sell pottery, fabrics, food and drink, wood work, and more! We bought a few Latvian pieces and enjoyed some Latvian history, food, and beer! I hope you enjoyed this travel vlog and guide!

I lived in a house like that in Viski - many people STILL live in houses like that particularly in the country side and towns.

What did you enjoy the most of this event? Was it the experince or food? Also.. You just have to learn a little bit of Latvian and you would totaly fool people for being Latvian! 😀🤩

Hey Jess.I'm a new subscriber. I'm from Ireland and I've just arrived in Riga. I'll be here for a few months. Could you please do a video about beer in Latvia. Every time I order a beer I'm asked if I like light / dark /bitter /sweet etc. I like beer but sometimes I feel like I'm been asked to fill out a questionnaire before I can have something to drink. It would be nice to hear your perspective.

Fun fact- houses in this museum are not models. Somebody actually lived in them. They were chosen for this from all over, torn down, numbering each log, nail and plank, transported and rebuilt like gigant set of legos :-)
