@@EatSeeRV Yes I did , the food at the Cenote area was great we travel like 3.5 hrs from Cancun to Chichen Itza we also got to see the Tren Maya along the route it's not a 100 % working but is getting there
Great video! The food looked as always. Love loved watching the dancing. Nice city. Love Mexican food. Love Mexican pizza. Love burritos. And if course tacos. Enchiladas. And chimichangas. Nice you both again. Sorry I didn’t see Dennis. Great video! Stay safe and have a great week.
The first thing I do when I leave Mexico is immediately start missing Mexico. We absolutely loved our time in Merida and Valladolid. On our way from Valladolid to Cenote Sambula in Dzitnup, we stopped in Chichimila, a charming Mayan village, and ate at El Capitan. That was a great day.
You are very nice people. I'm so happy youlove the city I spent my entire summer holiday in each year until I joined the Navy. It's my favorite place in all the world. Thank you for sharing. ❤
I think I've only heard of 2 things out of everything you ate. this was certainly a food video with a bit of travel thrown in. solid warning before the video. Glad I just ate. For the one with the flat waffle maker and the cheese, its literally just cheese inside the rolled "shell"? glad to see a fresh video. take care!
Yes! It's just the cheese rolled inside - although you can add other stuff. I loved it just like that. And yes, the Yucatan has so many unique dishes to try.
Hola! I appreciate and enjoy your helpful videos. As to "safety", from My observations, there is an obvious police presence. However, unlike the United States, where the police are overly militarized, here the Merida municipal police are equipped with walkie-talkie radios and batons. The Merida police seem to be more social ambassadors than stormtroopers and are very helpful. The National Guard, on the other hand, are more militarized, as I would expect, but they are not as prevelant. I've been in El Centro for less than a full week and can easily walk wherever I go. However, I'm more concerned with twisting an ankle on the narrow, uneven sidewalks than I am of being a random victim of crime. This week, I'm following your trips to the cenotes and other Mayan adventures.👍 👍
@@EatSeeRV I appreciate what you do for Mexico, see the positive side and not what the American government and media say!? Actually Mexico is safer than the USA,
We arrived at merida Airport at 10pm on 2/29/24 with some apprehension regarding the transportation to our hotel in the city centro. All of the internet talks about the need to take a taxi for at least Mex$300! It turns out the ADO bus into the city center was perfect for Mex$40 for each person. We got off at the 2nd stop, right near the Santa Lucia plaza & walked the few blocks to our hotel. Perfect!!
Wonderful. ADO buses are great! You can also take a taxi, which is like $8 but you have to walk to the street you can't get the taxi from the Airport (near the rental car place).
The biggest downside to residency in Mexico i see is that after you move to permanent residency, you can no longer drive you US plated vehicle into Mexico. Not sure about the Baja area since you don't have to get TIP.
I was going to ask you about the weather there but you said it was overcast and not to hot.I would love to live in merida but I hate high humidity.Did you see a lot of Gringos there are most of the Gringos there tourist or do they live there.
I said when we visited it was overcast. It's always humid there and very usually extremely hot. Lol 😆 it's a nice mix of both. Gringos for sure but lottttsss of Mexicans too.
Question Liz, You are so fluent in Spanish, I don't speak Spanish and I've tried for years but haven't been able to learn it for some reason. I'd love to visit the places you show us. Will I be able to do it without speaking Spanish? Thank you.
great to see you guys are back in Mexico! cool video! but why dont you know how to pronounce "Champs Elysée"? you pronounce the S on the end of Champs because the first letter of the next word is a vowel. and Elysee is EL-EE-SAY.
@@EatSeeRV but its one of the most famous places in the world and I knew how to pronounce it before I ever visited Paris. you also didnt know how to pronounce Suez Canal in your Panama video. I just find it bizarre.
Hi Dennis and Liz! I remember your trip a few years back to Mexico. Nice you went back. I am watching the video tonight! I miss watching you! I’m going try and get back to watching you again from time to time. If you don’t mind.
We you guys are back in one of your most favorite places, Mexico. We guess the guys who aren’t good at the sword dance aren’t dancers anymore. They are eunuchs. 😀😀. Definitely do not slip!
You guys are always so fun to watch. Thank you for taking the time to take us along. The costumes of the dancers were wearing were incredibly pretty. Open question. Do you ever get food Poisoning in any of the places that you eat?
The dancing was incredible! And we have, but rarely. We've gotten sick 2 or 3 times out of the year and a half. And one time was the same spot twice (hard lesson to learn lol).
You guys find the absolute best looking food everywhere you go. Jan and I haven't been to Merida yet, but you've moved it much higher on the list. Great job!
