i think it would be really cool if some of the planets explored in the series have small clues on were the next habitable planet is, but not all planets should have them so when the players decide to leave other solar systems and miss a clue the search will be harder, you should also add logs in planets the have the clues or more stasis chambers for players that want to enter the series, also you should add weapons if you add cosmic horror enteties

Lowkey a pulsar or a blackhole you can just stumble across and look at would be rather neat

Heres an encounter idea: An autonamous shipyard which's operating AI has gone half-crazy from long solitude. It begs you and the crew to take it with them. If you refuse or are otherwise unable to transfer it to the Angel Wing, it asks you to at least shut it down so it won't have to experience decades of loneliness again.

As someone who writes way too much for sci fi, I have a few cool encounter suggestions. (Just saying planets wouldn't quite work with some of these.) -Dead world. A planet that through some disaster is no longer orbiting a star. This would likely result in a frozen would drifting through the void. And could be an interesting discovery while leaving the solar system. -Black hole observatory. A station overlooking a black hole. Possibly even looking into the theory of wormhole travel. An interesting concept for FTL travel without some kind of warp drive. -Crystaline world. A planet where most of its surface has been turned into diamond. Perhaps caused by a molten core and high gravity. -Failed terraforming project. A planet where some ancient race, or perhaps human settlers, attempted to terraform a otherwise inhospitable planet to fit their needs. The failed result being a chaotic blend of biomes and an extremely unbalanced eco system. Maybe with extreme weather events. -Abandoned military craft. Finding a derelict ship with no indication as to where the crew went is ominous enough. But that ship being a heavily damaged military vessel is even more unnerving. You don't even need enemies. Just have all the escape pods missing, heavy damage to core systems to explain why you don't just take that ship, and you have a mystery to put everyone on edge. Considering development for the next episode is already underway, I'll leave any additional suggestions for later. But I hope these have some fun inspiration.

For water a rouge Ice planet with a deep ocean kept warm by tectonics could be dope, sorta like subnautica with enemies that could be viruses controlling corpses of those who worked the underwater mining stations?

It would be so cool if every new planet provided a new gimmick or equipment that could be utilsed on other planets

one idea that might be cool to visit is like rogue planets, like planets in the milkyway/universe that don't orbit anything just float through space

Are you able to add privacy glass as just a standalone mod? I think that the idea is just so neat with so many applications to minecraft in general.

You must add a drop ship to the angel’s wing. Or maybe you guys can add a hanger for the like space jet skis or something lol

You could have the angels wing visit an old “shipbreaker yard” and/or a “drydock” so it could install upgrades for other decommissioned ships.

This mod has SO much potential to become an actual game with an objective and goal. I see so many things that could happen to make this mod into something so much better

I'm really hoping for a big twinstar system, because, well, they are naturally very energy rich and you can make a lot of creative things with that. A twist like, there is a planet with life, but this life is nitrogen or silicon based and therefore unfit for human survival.

i cant remember if i said this on the last one, but you should consider making an endless mode if possible for the public once the series is over. i genuinely think the space mod could be used as a jumping off point to make something really awesome. i was thinking something like "collect x resource on each planet" to refuel a warp drive or something idk, but essentially once youve explored all the generated planets youll have enough fuel to jump to another galaxy, generating a new layout of planets and stuff. alongside that, having randomized planets. you could have them be like localized biomes, so they have their own randomly generated structures and ruins and resources and unique loot tables and stuff, essentially making each planet a miniature minecraft seed. then you could maybe add some enticing loot for people to chase, like ruins could have a better breather that gives you more air reserves, stuff like that, so you'd have to choose between refueling and exploring for potential gear upgrades. idk, just watching the previous video it stuck out to me that having the main explored areas of the mod (the planets) be randomly generated rather than handmade would allow people to use the mod as a vehicle to have fun with friends. i think the customizable ships and the planets and system is so cool and would be such a blast to build your own custom ship with friends, and add to and build up your ship as you get more materials and resources. like, if you added random generation and a way to generate new sets of planets and released this as a standalone thing, i genuinely believe this could be one of THOSE mods, like aether, twilight forest. what you have here is really impressive, and looks genuinely so so fun.

feel like for a water planet being possibly contaminated with foreign pathogens, you should add a way not only to get water from some random planet, but also to sterilize/boil it. If one drinks unsterilized water, make it so that there's a chance they will get some status effect or possibly lose hp.

I think I already put this idea on the original idea, but I'd love to see some more integration with your original Outer Wilds Space Mod. I don't know what that'd entail but the idea of projecting planets, supernovae, and marshmallows would be really neat. Aside from that, deep space encounters would be cool. For example, stumbling upon comets or rogue planets, abandoned or destroyed space shuttles and procedural space stations could be used to enhance the mystery, and perhaps even creatures like the 'space whales' from No Man's Sky.

You should make a liquid that gives through a machine to make water but it also makes something else and their are massive and strong worm monster as the surface is dead and abandoned with wreckage all over with tough terrian. Hope to see more, love this and your content

Honestly love the ship yall did and how it’s inspired by the interior of prey’s space station. Personally I love the exterior of ships from 40k(cruisers) and Star Wars(a lot of the ships from the clone wars).

Would be cool if a space mod uses this kind of design for the planets, and when you approach a planet close enough, its respective dimension gets loaded in so you could enter the planet.

MAN, every time i see those beautiful planets make me amazed! If you some how made a blackhole that looks like from interstellar and has an actual gravitational pull it'll be a awesome moment!

Would be cool if there was a holographic map of the solar system which shows the location of all the planets with a picture/direction of the ship. Like a micro model of the current system.

You should make a prehistoric planet with similar vocals to dinosaurs, with animals similar to there past selves, like a chicken pitched down for a tyrannosaur.

I would love to be able to travel throughout different solar systems! It can be a sort of story game, with a goal that isn’t right in front of u, a sort of free of will story game! U can explore different places and don’t have to directly follow the story! Just think it would be a cool idea, I think u could add other cool features such as rogue planets containing resources, black holes, etc.

I feel like an important feature to add is something like a ball that the only functionality of it is just to play a noise of you saying sqounk in the most dead inside voice possible

If you made this into an actual game later I would 100% buy it no matter the price.

Hello rat! I love your videos, and I have an idea for a star system you could explore. this is inspired by a donation in the video that I think you misunderstood. You should add the Kerbol star system from the Kerbal Space Program games. The list of celestial bodies in it is, Stars: Kerbol. Planets (in order): Moho, Eve, Kerbin, Duna, and Jool. Dwarf Planets: Dres and Eeloo. I'm not going to say all the moons because I think I've already said a lot of stuff you can just look up and find on Google or something. Anyways keep up the good work!

I have been so busy irl that I couldn't watch rat, sadly, for abt 2 months, come back and dude basically made a new game in Minecraft at that point. I have already made a comment on the other video on this and I still stand by what I said. The story you could tell with this like I have so many ideas for stories and it, well it is literally out of this world what rat did this time. I am just gonna to say it. Rat is a God now.

add a radio and the very occasional undiscovered song planet (ive made golden hour planet, it looks like a golden gas giant with beautiful, gilded rings and has a tiny moon near it but not too near)

There are loads of cool planets. One of which is a planet where it literally rains molten iron and the atmosphere is iron gas.

Imagine if in the future, there’s a full on fletched-out series on this, and there’s a movie/tv show adaptation of it

That looks so good. Would be cool add support with clockworks. Nd more solar systems. It could work like in game "Space Engine", where u got our accurate local bubble, nd then everything outside of the bubble are randomly generated planets nd suns. + Would be cool add some map terminal, so you can map universe on ur own, nd name diff planets nd stuff. Would be cool if every planet has own pressure, nd u need diff tires of ur space suits to not get crushed. Nd would be cool add some NPC alien empires, owning multiple sols systems. Their behaviour could work as in spore, nd u would hav there some simple rep system, these aliens can like u or dislike u. And they all wanna expand their empires, so they trynna colonize overtime more sols nd expanding their empire. And player can do the same.

I wasn't on the stream but i must say, the people that want a cool space mod for Minecraft might not be a lot but we are incredibly passionate about stuff like this

When you decide to add a navigation system you can make a plot where it all shuts down with red flickering lights, and then make the ship crashland on a dangerous planet. Before the shutdown you can also add some flickering lights and and small signs of something being wrong or broken before it all shuts down. I was thinking maybe that a hole apears somewhere on the ship and it all goes to a complete shutdown and the ship emergency lands on a planet. Maybe with the systems being online again, you could add a hologram of the solarsystem your in or planets near you or something. If you also decide to add more planets outside our solar system you could add a hyperlapse to travel too the different distant planets and solar systems. Maybe this is where the ship crashes and the team has to fint ha way to start the ship again before there oxygen supply runs out. And something you need to add are black holes, maybe even white holes too.They would look so cool. Maybe even add some cool nebulas and cool places to visit. Some exoplanets too maybe. There could be some books in the libary with space facts and maybe clues and or lore to the other humans who might be out there. And also, in the second episode you should make the pooltable actualy work. And if you're going to make the system work again then you should also make the elevator work. Btw love your content, keep up the good work and good luck expanding the universe. 👍

I like your mod you should really expand it by adding maybe new planets with maybe each planet can have abandoned ships and other solar systems along with a habitable planet you could live on.

I absolutely love the general concept of the angel wing, i have always loved the idea of this ship silhouette/body. But there are so many things that i would want to slightly variate, o just feel like it should be almost longer, with more domes and circular portholes with victorian art deco fusion aesthetic for the external bronze detailing. Ultimately there are limitations to minecrafts capabilities lol

If you add aliens to Janas you should make them look like the aliens from The Tomorrow War and because they are white they could blend it to the upper layers of the caves

One episode idea is going to a jungle moon to replenish the water and somebody accidentally tames one of the local fauna which starts a quest line where the crew has to travel around and look for research stations with information that will help the crew take care of it’s newest member.

I was wondering, maybe you can make a part 2? Maybe you guys find another solar system and alive, good, bad, cute, hostile.. I think it would be nice, maybe glowing leafs and plants or beautiful animals, give it a try maybe? Might be nice.

Hey Rat, incase you get this and such. I actually have a very in-depth idea on how procedurally generated planets could be! Aswel as a lot of other systems! I also have a large astromony type system for discovering other star systems with said planets. Just incase needed (just in case): my username is same across platforms

I have input for locations like Gas Planets, You enter the planet's atmosphere, and arrive in a world with no ground, just lava. In it are flying mobs. Players can shoot mobs from gun posts or using personal flying machines to chase them. The drops float no grav and can be collected as resources. I mean you have fantasy planets, why not fantasy mods.

Space summed in four words: Big, beautiful and deadly.

Thing thing about gas giants is that while realistically you wouldn't be able to explore one, I think it would be neat to have the ability to do so but only with the aid of some sort of suit upgrade that alleviates the effects of the pressure exerted by the planet. This would allow people to explore planets like Jupiter (in-game) in the form of floating islands made up of debris from other celestial objects that were pulled inside, perhaps having ichor that's been compressed into blocks by the planet's pressure that could be safely stored or reliquified as emergency fuel for your ship.

The Outer Wilds painting in 1:50:02 is a bit wrong: The Sun becomes red in the late 10-20min of the loop, but the Hourglass twins start the sand exchange about 1-2min after the start of the loop and around 10 minutes in, the Ember Twin is halfway full, so the painting of the almost empty Ember Twin and full Ash Twin with the Sun in the red giant phase is impossible unless you have the Sand Flows From Ember Twin To Ash Twin mod. Still love the painting though

U could make an subaquatic mod an u can find a ruined portal for the poolrooms there, which would be super cool

I SLEPT JUST AS THE PREMIERE STARTED

The dwarf planet ceres goes in and out of the astroid belt and into empty space, you could make a little thing where you pass ceres and for planet ideas you could make a planet where its like a very nice and relaxed greenery place but then someone discovers dangerous lifeforms, carnivorous plants, carnivores ect. And someone could possibly take some of the greenery or take one of the wildlife. Also a planet where you can stop after (maybe be hit by a asteroid or/and space rocks) and it full of minerals and you have to smelt them and you repair the ship, it does give lots of near death experinces for character development? This is all just a idea tho Edit Also on the planet with greenery you could get food as well.

You should add a hyper speed mode that you use a rare material for. That way the planets could be spread farther out and make it look semi-realistic. Mini deployable ships could make ship landings far better. I wonder how you’d tackle the craft-ability to make ships, maybe you create an “Engine” and upgrade it for the size area. Hopefully the speed of the ship gets implemented into the ship creation and usage. If you go the Space horror route for certain episodes you should add space entity’s like Space Whales, Krakens, Serpents/worms, and Xenomorph-like Water Bears(Tardigrades). I wonder if the next episode will have an entirely new Solar System? Hopefully the crew gets to hang around for 2-3 episodes, fleshing it out.

Honestly this mod appeals to me because of the Outer Wilds vibes is has and I think rat should lean into that with things being more fantastical and less conquesty like most mods

Imagine they add like moments where they gain like special abilities like breathing in space without oxygen gear or other stuff

Not sure if there were ideas about way to travel to other distant systems, but, if I understand correctly, since the idea of the mod is exploring space objects and not just void space, you could use the concept of Retranslators from GoF2 game (if that's the English name, like a gate that the ship can enter and it launches it at a lightspeed to another system)

Make a world that’s like earth so you can get water, wood, and other resources from earth but a non livable atmosphere bc I love this series

idea for more stuff: on a different moon,instead of low ichor lakes make it like the titan oceans, big and icy with s m a l l traces of life to collect,take back to the ship and analyse.

i know this absolutely is the outer wilds ventures astronaut in me talkin, but there should totally be traces of another civilization on some planet. not necessarily to lead to anything meaningful if you have other plans for the story, but probably just as a fun lil nudge that you're not the first people to be there, and probably won't be the last. maybe even have a planet that some other species ruined n left or died on

For gas giants, you could have floating settlements, similar to Bespin City in Star Wars

Going to mars would be a cool misson. The mission being gatering water from mars south or north pole.

Planet Blanet a Blanet is a planet that orbits a black hole, but it is still not that near to that black hole or else it will be probably already destroyed, but the planet is kind of far but not that near to that black hole so you could call the planet Banus or whatever you call it Rat but you can add something like that in future episodes probably in episode 10 where the crew finds a black hole with the angel wing and they see a planet near that black hole so they have gone to explore it and the planet also has a lot of materials to make new equipment and upgrade other different equipment like you guys can make a vehicle so it would be easier to traverse or you could make a Rover or I don’t know what you would make with those materials that will help the crew. Maybe something so we can traverse inside a planet that is made out of water so we don’t drown and we will have a lot of oxygen for that also maybe adding different new creatures from different worlds so we could add creatures that already adapted to the environment so we could add something similar to one of your videos of the monsters from one of your videos from the content SMP. It was from the pool, rooms in level three. So you can make something similar to that and make new concepts of different creatures that have different ways to adapt to the environment. And also you can also make a concept of something like wormholes white holes and other things also something like the nebula yeah, you can also add different planets that have different kind of stuff like when the ship need something to be fixed, must be on different planet that has a lot of resources, or when the planet is super hard to traverse and need to actually go there for an important thing like looting the remaining parts of the abandoned spaceship by the old people who traveled there before, and we use it to fix the engine and add more things to the engine to make it more stable And upgrading different tools the suit or the helmet. Yeah, you can also add the biggest star in the universe. It will have thousands of planets, but not that much, but it will have a lot of really big planets and unstable robots left by the people who were like on the universe there before, but left it with the robots, getting more unstable and unstable, and now the robots will attack you if you get near it you can also go to different galaxies. There are some types like the normal galaxies like the Milky Way and others but a rare type of galaxies are quasars they are galaxies that have a black hole in the center spewing out thousands of things from up and down. Yea and at the end we will find A supernova that’s bigger than the universe itself we will find a habitable place there so we can live there but in the trip you also have to go to different planets from different galaxies or solar systems so we can find something to refill the spaceship again or you call it the angels wing when the thing that we need to refill gets slow, we need to go on a different planet to go there and refill it . And also the angels wing will probably have many space ships in it to explore different planets at the same time so the angels wing will probably be like a space station space go out and explore different planets in that solar system with the crew together yea well that’s all . you know, you should probably introduce a way for the ship to go FTL, sure realistically, it's already travelling faster since it can travel between planets in the solar system faster than light due to the scale of the planets are bigger and closer together. but going outside of the solar system, even at that scale, it's probably better to introduce a warp drive or smth

Fusion reactor simple answer instead of solar panels and it would be cool for exploration like a rogue planet more stuff you have to do

Something cool would be like when you go into a planet you can find broken ships of other crews that died or couldn’t make it with weapons or laser weapons

Rat you should make it where some random people or youtubers eventually are found on a planet that's inhabitable like far in the series to prove at least one expedition survived besides you guys.

Imagine that, on rare occasions when you go to a planet to harvest ichor, there is the sound of a drill whirring in the darkness. The old miners are still kept alive by their suits, having long gone mad and violent, and they’ve longed for even a glimpse of light in the dark. It would be really cool if you make an orbital mechanic that applies to every objects (mainly the spaceship), then make a reentry effect, and no gravity in space (you can turn on and off the gravity thingy majigy on the space ship) and also you can spacewalk to do some maintenaces.

Honestly water would be the least of your worries in space since most asteroids in space have water inside them so you could mine them for water so having 1 month of water left is not that bad but i guess that is an issue if your not close to an asteroid belt but still nothing to worry about

I think it would be cool if you could have gravity guns and you could find attachments to weld onto the Angels Wing like a vehicle bay or a weapons system

I have an idea. I don’t really know what it would be called, but it’d be your stereotypical water planet, but with caves full of superheated hydrogen gas and sulphuric rock, with trace amounts of graphite. It would have giant geysers that shoot water far higher than any mountain on earth that you could enter to see the superheated caves below. Aside from being well over 1000 degrees in the caves, the hydrogen in the caves is in its deuterium isotope, which makes for insane amounts of pressure in the caves, making the graphite in the caves skip becoming diamonds, and go straight to lonsdaleite which are stronger than diamonds. Maybe they could upgrade their gear with it. IDK. EDIT: It’d be hilarious to hear square just go on about everything I just said. EDIT EDIT: also the water would be mostly fresh and it would also be an exoplanet, the heat on the planet would only be produced by the caves.

Hey! So while I understood that the possibility of either Asteroid or Kuiper belt existing is pretty low, is there any chance the large stellar objects within them will be added? For example Ceres, the dwarf planet in Asteroid belt which contains over third of its mass, it could be used as some sort of a stop between an Inner and Outer Solar System. Then it's like Pluto (or maybe even Pluto-Charon system), which would be kind of similar to Janice in terms of surface covered in solid nitrogen, but it can also be played around with. Other examples from Kuiper Belt can include Eris or Makemake, which are all quite big in a scale of things in a Belt itself
