Exploring My Hometown with My Wife | Watch till the end 😍😍 

This video is all about Ukhrul Town experience. Susan and I share were able to stay in Ukhrul for 2 nights and we try to do and experience life there as much as we could. In this video we explore Phungreitang, Wino Bazaar, Ukhrul DC office and SDO office. We even went to leishiphung hospital for health check up and had our lunch and dinner at Food Inn Restaurant and Hungry Tiger cafe. We stayed at hotel Magen Hills. wino bazar, also exploring at tangkhul attire shop.
This video is also part of the series of sharing our experience visiting Manipur, particularly Ukhrul and my village which is close to the Myanmar border. We have not been meet our family in more than 3 years.
Ukhrul/Hunphun is a town in the state of Manipur, India. Ukhrul is the home of the Tangkhul Naga. It is the administrative headquarter of the Ukhrul district. There are also four sub-divisions in the district for administering the villages in and around it. The villages, however, are governed by the 'village heads.
The Tangkhul Naga Tribe lives mostly in the Indo- Myanmar- Border area occupying the Ukhrul District of Manipur. According to Meitei dialect, “Tangkhul” can also be interpreted as ‘costly village’.
Tangkhuls are the village loving people. Right from the beginning, every Tangkhul village had been a well organized and independent political unit. Within its territory, every village enjoyed both internal as well as external independent of its own. The villages were guided by their customary and traditional laws. Most of the Tangkhul village sites were located near the spring or stream to ensure them dependable supply of drinking water. Another most important factor responsible for determining the location of a village was the security. They fulfilled all those criteria of a full-fledged state by possessing population, definite territory of their own and sovereignty of both internal as well as external. They were a self-sufficient and politically well organized democratic state. Most of the Tangkhul villages are thickly populated.
