I'm 31 years old and I'm in a period of my life where I feel a bit lost, so I decided to take some time to study and succeed in fulfilling one of my biggest dreams ever, living in Finland. Finnish is a rather difficult language to learn for an Italian, but I hope that one day I'll look back at these moments with a smile and say "Look where I am, it was worth it". Hello Hanni!, I'm Román from México and I just wanted to tell you how much I'd love to visit (or even live in) Finland by sharing my little story. I fell in love with Finland because of one of my favorite folk metal bands: Korpiklaani. Even if I didn't know anything about your beautiful country before them, I truely was interested in visiting the northern Europe, as I consider myself a fan of their landscapes and forests (Of course I take care of them in anyway I can too). After discovering Korpiklaani meant "Backwoods clan" (kinda) in Finnish, I started to look more and more into their country and culture, and I ended loving it. They are also the reason why I'm now one of your followers :) too (thank you very much for those Ievan Polkka videos where I learned my first Finnish words). The videos you share with us here, just make me wish to be there with my wife as soon as we can, just listening to the nature. Thanks to you, now I can fully understand one of my Korpiklaani's favorite song: "with trees", where they sing: Far, far away, where the birch wouldn't grow Far, far away, and where the wind freezes your face, There you won't be alone. I love it because every single time I listen to it, I can actually feel the wind, hear the birds and watch the snow falling. It's just something beautiful and I hope one day I will go there and experience all that beautifulness by my own. Thanks for sharing these amazing shots.

At times trees and bushes look a bit like this in Denmark too, but it happens more and more rarely that we have that luck here. I agree that we should preserve the beauty of nature to future generations. Unfortunately the majority of us elect politicians picking another direction. These trees depend on the frost to kill bugs. Tropical trees produce chemicals to protect them from bugs, that's what often make the heartwood dark. As climate changes winters without proper frost are becoming more frequent in Europe. A couple of years ago I read about findings of a Swedish scientist, he said that within few decades vast areas of forest mostly in Central Europe will die because the trees don't thrive in their new climate zones. Trees don't have feet they have roots.

For being in my canoe or out hiking and camping ⛺️ by myself or with my wife I can never get enough of. Thanks for your videos. The experience of calm nature in winter is indeed very beautiful.
