That may just be our new favorite area up North Island, and there is so much more to explore 🙂. Hunter is awesome, really friendly and calm as well. It was nice to have a dog around...made us realize how much we miss having a dog with us. We have to give Harry a lot of credit for how well he took losing the drone. That's a nice spot. I stopped there a few weeks ago during a 1-day tour of the area. That puddle in the middle of the parking lot gets much bigger in the rainy season.

@@backroadjournalsJust about anywhere on the north island will cast a spell on you. Even on rainy days like when I was there. I'll be touring and hiking some of the more remote spots this year. Work permitting, of course.

It is absolutely beautiful up there 👍. It may just be our new favorite area. When we arrived there was no one else there, but shortly after a group of students from Pearson College showed up. They took off in a couple canoes from there and spent the night somewhere else. Another couple showed up later, but that was about it. We were a bit worried on how busy it might get because of Spring Break, but it was pretty quiet the entire time we were up there. Thank you for coming along 🙂👍. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
