OBSCURIST TOURIST 131 - Oak Island off the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada is a privately owned island steeped in mystery and legend. The tree-covered island is best known for various theories about buried treasure or historical artifacts, and the associated attempts to explore the site - and the deaths surrounding those attempts. Some say it's where Captain Kidd buried his treasure, but others just say the island is cursed. The History channel has even based a show on it called The Curse of Oak Island - now in its 11th season.
