CCC=Franklin Delano Roosevelt. who was President during the Depression and World War 2. Teddy had died although his son would serve as a General on D-Day. FDR used the CCC as a way to put money back into the economy, employ unemployed young men, do public works especially in rural areas, and provide a structure for recruitment for the military if necessary. Almost every state park in the entire USA was a CCC project.
