I love how you can tell he's a master of the industry but is making an effort out of his comfort zone to educate us. Thank you for being organically yourself when making these episodes.
I have been watching watch related content for coming up 10 years now and just wanted to say that your channel is favourite new channel and been consuming all the content. Keep it up, the channel will grow and its worth the effort you are putting in.
@@mentawatches The deep dive into specific vintage rolex references with clients/ colleagues and also other obscure vintage watches are what I am enjoying so far. Seems to set you apart from a lot of channels with just selling brand new high end pieces.
Thanks again for another interesting & informative video. This is my new favorite channel. Every episode is a watch lovers dream treasure hunt discovering watches rarely or never seen before. Adam is like the Indiana Jones of the RU-vid watch world.
That's because this channel is for the genuine vintage watch enthusiasts of which there are only a few relative to all the social media hype collectors who aren't real enthusiasts but trend seekers.
Wow another killer video. Educational and about the hobby not about chasing $$. Gai is the man. The idea of pushing the community to buy condition first and not buying what interests you is a breath of fresh air. First do u love this. And then look at condition. What are people focusing on, who they are going to sell this too down the line? Or more importantly is this a watch I love. I vote for rarity and interesting first. Great video as always Adam.
Great video and discussion with all 3 dealers. It is so refreshing to hear the straightforward honesty of John Buckley. Definitely not the stereotypical NYC wheeler & dealer. I too see all the inventory on the grey market for the last 1.5 years & it does not correlate with the grey market channels trumpeting price increases in today's market. The only place there is an artificial shortage is at the AD's showcases.
to be clear, I'm just curious, I'll never sell it, I thought it was the best looking Rolex I've ever seen, I asked the local AD and he got me one in a month.
I can just picture TPG being upset he waited so long to get on TikTok with a 1million sub. V-watch guys and Buckley probably get good money from Ad and click revenue Vs. Selling watches.
