Savage Gulf and South Cumberland State Parks are true gems. Well marked and maintained trails, expansive views, waterfalls, rocks, historic sites, and sinks. East TN is a great place to hike.
@@ASTHECROWFLIESHIKING Great! It is one of my favorite parks. I have hiked every trail at least 3 times. Consider doing some portions of the Cumberland Trail starting at Chattanooga. You can hike around Prentice Cooper State Forest and continue on to the first section of the Cumberland Trail and get about 30 miles. Great views of the TN river.
What a great area to hike. That suspension bridge was really nice. The little cabin looked beautiful. Too bad you couldn’t enter. The campsites look nice. It must have been a bumpy ride in the stagecoach... Have a great weekend ! 😊 Kaat
@@ASTHECROWFLIESHIKING nope. Bucket list area for me. Researched it a lot. Was going one time but the weather changed my plans. Can’t wait to see the area
Think I saw Andy's video about this trip about a week before I was planning something to just get out. After watching his video, I booked a site at Alum gap for the next weekend and could not have been happier. Liked it so much I have already taken my wife and kids to see Stone Door, such a cool place. Already planning a trip back for this fall.
The Connector trail has kicked my butt a time or two as well, always at the end of the day like you experienced. Type 2 fun for sure. SG is my playground. Thanks for highlighting it!
Would love to come east and experience that hike... But I'm pretty sure I will never be able to see Ranger Falls without laughing out loud now 😅. That cracked me up.
If I didn’t know better, I’d say Andy was trying to cull some friends on this one.😄 Seriously though, that is a beautiful place! Thanks for the video. 👍🏼
I'm so far behind on my video watching! We did one backpacking trip in Tennessee and I liked that you could reserve backcountry camp sites. Lots of water and lots of bridges. That looks like a fun one... other than the climb!
Does anyone believe there as any such thing as "a crucial fundraising deadline" in a presidential campaign? I mean, they'll take your money anytime you send it. In their eyes, it's never too late. Oh yeah, enjoyed the video.
