Curly tales sorry to say that She is done hilarious performance in South Indian movie. And she is also a National award winner for best actress. Mention about that things also apart from Jawan.
Bhandarkar Road, Kings Circle brought tears to my eyes. Memories of my grandpa taking me there every single day when I stayed with him to tour the temples and have some street food and coffee is just unforgettable. Pairing that memory with my favorite actress who it turns out is still pakka Southie was a delight.
After the South Indian states, the best and most authentic South Indian food you get is in Matunga. And you guys went to two of my most favourite joints 👍👍
South indian film stars are very simple in their personal life also......i like priyamani ...she is very pretty and down to earth kind actress......nice episode......❤😍
Beautiful, talented , humble & so comfortable walking around & eating surrounded by regular other customers...hats off to Priyamani . There is something about the actors & stars from down south...they all seem unaffected by their own popularity & behave so normally & graciously. And I've been lucky to have lived in Bengaluru for a short few months & it's one of my fav Indian cities . It is so cool & the people friendly & chilled out .
Actually Ram Nayak does not need any celebrity approval . It is that old and somehow they have maintained their standard for southern karnataka Brahmin type thaali. Just enjoy your food .
I do agree with the fact that the theme of the show is to try authentic food joints.. but don’t take celebrities to too much crowded area.. i would still prefer comfort and a bit less authentic food than stay in line at crowded place .. plus she is a celeb .. curly tales production team should have manage it properly.. they should have informed this place that some celeb is coming.. priya mani was bit uncomfortable and feeling sweaty.. though she managed to remain calm and finished the lunch..
But they are normal people too so it's okay to stay normal at times. Everytime they can't attach the celeb baggage with them. Sometimes it's okay for them to see the real world n how a common person lives.
I agree to this point I have also noticed she has taken vidya balan to good restaurant for South Indian food and this quite weird why such a realistic treatment with Priyamani
@@vr5663 Unfortunately our society doesn't work like that. In western countries yes but in our country if a celeb especially in film industries behave like normal person and start eating street side pani puri people will begin to say they might have lost the market and pity you!
Proud to say the actress is a TAMILIAN to Bangalurians n others.. N also very natural.. No little artificiality though some tamilians little shows when they are at North due language problem... Niece video but wd taken still more big South Indian restaurant.. To avoid noise.. Superb interview
Are u saying that Tamils behave "Artifically" when in north??? Really??? Only u have to feel proud by calling her Tamil. She herself never considered her as Tamil. She would always say and show as she is from Karnataka, she calls herself as Bangalorean, thats the truth too. I have never seen this lady calling herself as Tamil and nothing wrong in it too. Everyone will be close and feel as they belong to where they are born and brough up no matter what their origin is. So plz dont stamp ppl based on their origins. Let them express it.
I willl be very very honest here.. I love middle class celebrities who still retain their middle class habits, culture and lingo. So much refreshing and endearing than the 'sandra from bandra' celebrities. The celebrity SoBO or Bandra Nepo kid celebrity with New york and London vibes is so off putting when it comes to enjoying food. Loved how she licked her fingers and there were no qualms about putting on air of disdain at the very average surroundings of the places you visited.... Loved Priyamani and You kill it Curly Tales.. Keep it up. Cheers.
She’s a superstar herself in south film industry ♥️now stepping up in Bollywood ❤♥️and still down to earth and it’s okay if she comments about South Indian food in Mumbai that way . Home is home 🏡 and everyone likes nothing better than their home style food
Amazing that South Indian Thali is that much demand in Mumbai. 🤩 Priyamani got National Award for her first movie itself, playing de-glamorous role. She said she used to have crooked teeth in her childhood, but got it fixed later. 🤩 She knew so many languages. 😳
Had been to most hotels near matunga station between 1987-97 good taste mostly Udupi / Mangalore style saambaar . A typical tambrahm will order filter coffee last to round off idli dosai vadai. Matunga has good Punjabi restaurants as well.👍. It's a lovely place to hang out and stroll around with friends and fiancee ❤. Lunch in Krishna boarding is almost a default for everyone crossing matunga. A lot of customers are regulars.
I really don't like people using the term " South Indian Food". Every cuisine in the 4 states is very unique and there are different cuisines in each state. Each should be called by its own unique name. Udupi style is very unique and it should be called just that and not South Indian.
I just love how Kamiya is so chill and composed all the time..she is very relatable. But did u guys et to use the celebrity card or had actually waited? :)
Do you even know what South Indian Cuisines are? Anyone who rates Rameshwaram and Mumbai version of Idli and Dosa high does not know what he is speaking.
Her acting in that climax scene of Paruthiveeran was awesome. She is a wonderful actress, and I would put her on par with Tabu. It is just that opportunities are not coming her way, or these days, you need to ask if opportunities come with terms & conditions of adjustment.
Lucky to be staying so close to Matunga. Last week went there to have Ghee Dosa and at around 3 PM, there was a queue. Early morning 7 AM there is a Queue, Late evening also there is queue. The queue consists of people who are not so well to do and also NRIs who come in their swanky cars. This place is a big leveller. Irrespective of your cast, religion and social status, you HAVE to share seats with others because of the crowd, which all gladly do so and have the delicious food that they offer. The first time I went there was nearly 25 years ago. Nothing has changed, the quality, the ambience, the queues and above all the great satisfaction it all gives you has remained intact! The same goes for Ramkrishna Boarding close by next to the Matunga Station
South is just just known for food s n made for foods n that too amazing foods🍲🍲🍲can't say nothing more about southern foods have separate fan base across the country as South Indian I'm literally so happy n satisfied about the kinds of authentic dishes available in different parts of our South☺☺
Classy ladies. Down to earth and transported back to the food in every nick and corner of India. I did not realize I would miss those South Indian veg. Thalis and eating with my fingers!!! Once we did a road trip from Jodhpur to Mount Abu and in the middle of nowhere we had to stop to splash our face with water as we were too many in an ambassador and spotted a tiny road side shack with a few trees and this huge well, cows drawing up the water. The moment they realized we were hot, sticky abd hungry the few village people in that shack gave us water to clean up and before we knew it they served up rotis, yoghurt, pickle and salad. I still salivate when I think of that meal and how welcoming they were to total strangers. Udipi food is mouth watering for sure that is why way back in the early fifties they were all over India
my house is at matunga east, and our filter coffee is the best, its because its made by my mom, i can bet there is no restaurant that can beat my mom's sambhar or rasam or avial, please come home some time
She is looking gorgeous.. her expressions cute. She closed the banana leaf 🌿 in wrong side, only in funeral they close like that. Hope she close it right way next time.
Glad Udipi ia treating them like normal people and not going celeb crazy. All work hard just because one is a celeb they get to cut lines everywhere be it temples or restaurants so high time celebs are treated as normal people n would keep them grounded too.
*dear curly their is a South India temple just a min walk from were you took kali-peeli...you should have had visited it....viewer would have got more of a South Indian feel...Matunga...mini madras(chennai)*
This is what makes south indian actors separate from bollywood arrogant actors. She remains so calm and chilled out in public place. Southern actors are polite and well behaved always in public.
Kamiya has been done interview with every big celebrity whether they are from Bollywood or south and hiw beautifully he did the interviews no one can't do this even all the celebrities are easily involved in interviews without being offensive with her questions and also she is so genuine but sometime also done overactings even most of the time 🫥🫥
Kamiya, Priyamani is right that Mumbai can be no where near Bangalore food for sure. I'm also like her, Tambram from Blr and in Mumbai since 1980. But I should tell you that other than 6 joints in Matunga no where we get authentic South Indian food in Mumbai. In fact it is 7 joints all in Matunga. Cheers
And I am North Karnataka Brahmin who spent childhood and young Days in MH and now living in Bangalore. Bangalore sucks when it comes to MH food , not only it's difficult to find but tastes terrible wherever present . It is totally wrong to expect food from other part and calling names.
@@Rmm1236it's very subtle but maybe because in the promo there is a mention of 'brahmin way'... These people don't tire of their efforts on the soft influence
I m glad someone asked this. And Priyanani's comment on cleaning the leaf being a "Brahmin way" was a bit too much. The lady needs to know that the leaf is cleaned with water to ensure it doesn't have any dust or dirt on it. Can we ask if it was an Undergrad woman talking or Mrs Raj?
