Deborah and I were caretakers of the Conference House for almost eleven years. I never felt the house to be "Creepy", but I have had several things happen that I can't explain. One of them was a day when the Conference House association was having a meeting at the parks visitor center. It was dusk and I didn't need to be at the meeting, so I stayed at the house doing computer work. As I looked up at the TV, I saw an older women go by the window. She looked like she was wearing a white dress with fluffy collar and white hair in a type of bun. I thought she was a "Reenactor" looking for the meeting. I jumped up to open the door and...."NOTHING", I ran around the property and again "NOTHING"!! I have had a few more things happen there. I don't believe in "Ghosts"...but I am still scratching my head. I have "NEVER FELT SCARED OR CREEPY" in the Conference House, but I always felt like I was being watched. Also the "House" was built on "indigenous Burial grounds", very peaceful there, I loved it! Thank you Staten Island for that beautiful chapter!!!!
nytom4info actually there’s been a rumor for years that sci college is haunted because the disable kids use to got abuse by the teachers and some have died there it’s closed no there’s no more hiring disable people it’s sad tho how it’s true and some adbondon hospital has a cult rumors of it on tomtinville if I spelled that right
True story. Me and my lady were coming back from Atlantic City around 3am on one of those buses you take to Atlantic City From North Jersey. On our route coming back home the bus passed thru Staten Island in which it pass thru a cemetery where I saw I little girl in a white dress I couldn’t believe it I look over to my girl and told her look at the little girl in the dress which she also saw. We were so shock I told her no one will ever believe us. Holy cow seeing these and him mentioning people seeing spirit in the cemetery blow my mind.
