This video is filmed vlog style to show you my experience with the Tamagotchi Uni for the child through adult stages. For the dancing game you just gotta position the Tamagotchi facing sideways, up or down depending on the last move of the example (if in their last move their watch is facing up, position your uni facing up, etc)

I can’t wait to get this tama for Christmas. I am still currently playing my Smart, but as much as I love it, the Uni has so many features that I like. Gonna be taking my Smart on a plane trip for the second time.

My Tamagotchi Uni will be with me in just two days! I can't wait to see all new features! I have never had a Tamagotchi with a colour display before. Right now i have Tamagotchi V4, V4.5, Familitchi and Friends :D and they are still awesome. Great video! Greetings :D

My purple Uni is now shipping and should arrive later next week. I guess now though I should find a screen protector. Didn’t even think of that but I did have a Pix one on my Smart because it was all I could find, and it covered the screen ok. Weirdly enough, I didn’t use a screen protector on my Pix. LOL

I don’t have any insider information but I am really hoping that they do something fun for the holidays! I loved the Tamagotchi On and the special seasonal games and characters. I’d like to see that come back 🤗

Hello! Thank you for this video. I want to get a Tamagotchi 20 years after the first one I had as a child but I don't know which one to buy between the Pix and the Uni. The Uni seems really cool with the charging cable, the physical buttons, the Tamaverse but the Pix seems more "complete" with all the games and daily tasks it has.. What would you recommend? Hi! I won't tell you which one to buy, but I will say that if price is an issue then get the Pix first as it's pretty cheap at Walmart or on Amazon. The Pix will most likely be out of production soon so if you think you might want it now is your chance to get it!

Hi... love the video :) I wondered, is this suitable for a 4 year old and 7 year old? my kids love games and have never had a Tamagotchi before, so not sure?? thanks :)

Thank you! I would say the Uni might be tough for the 4 year old as there is a bit of reading. The physical buttons came back though so I think it might be a bit easier to handle. Your 7 year old would have no issues, but I doubt you can get it for one and not the other. Just know that the screen scratches easily so I would recommend a screen protector before giving to the kiddos.

@@JillGrygas thanks. I went and got them both a Tamagotchi Uni. Both love it. As you said the 4 year old doesn’t know what is really being said but she watches her sister and she knows how to feed, clean, entertain etc so all going well :)

What camera do you use for close up view?

I have a camera problem, so I end up filming with too many cameras haha but for close up shots I have found my iPhone and Sony ZV-1 are perfect for this. This video was shot with the Sony ZV-1 Mark 2 which just came out in June.

Yeah that is one downside. I was hoping there would be a way to connect with friends over WiFi. If there is a way I don't know about it yet! There is still so much I need to learn with this one.

Personally, I would get both haha! But if you can't, I would start with the Pix because if you get the Uni and then want the Pix later on it will be harder to find. Usually after the new Tamagotchi is out the old one's aren't manufactured anymore. I think Pix can be found for a decent price now too.

My understanding is you have to actually move the Uni around for it to think you are walking. I’m going to try it out soon and report back!

I'm curious what will happen with the Tamaverse as well. We usually get 1-3 years with something though so I think we're good for at least a year with this one.
