Join us as we explore the abandoned Cottonwood schoolhouse near Regina, Saskatchewan on a gloomy day. This one-room schoolhouse was built in 1916, closed in 1937 due to lack of enrollment, and reopened in 1943. It was permanently closed in 1949.
We visited the school many times over the years. Although it no longer had windows and the interior was collapsing, the original architecture was still intact. This video was shot in 2022, which was good timing as the school was burned down by the farmer who owned the land in 2023.
