This mall is so sad now. I frequented it every weekend with friends blowing allowances having fun chilling. Now it’s just a rotting husk and my kids can’t have that independent wonder of chilling and shopping in a place with there friends lol. All we got in this shit hole town is a Walmart and the bowlerama…. They keep giving false promises of doing something with the mall or rumors start once a year. “We’re getting a target!!!” Or Walmart moving there and it’ll be a super Walmart!!” My favorite was “the movie theatre will reopen up there since it’s more spacious!” “Castleton state college is buying it and will make it a form campus!” And the most current one I remember “the owner of the mall is finally tired of paying property taxes on it for nothing and has declared to reopen it as a shopping plaza at some point!” Yea…… no word on that yet either…. It’s sad asf, everyone says online shopping killed everything, but I go to other malls on little trips and there doing pretty well. Build it and they will come…. Pretty sure the original mall owner is said to have his fingers in other mall establishments round the country so why no one can really get a hold of him and his lot prices rose too much for our town so all the shops slowly left so he’s he’s basically paying property tax on a empty mall and doesn’t kno or care haha. Either way it’s a travesty.

Awesome video gents. Diamond run mall. It's wild thinking this mall closed in 2019 , and has sat untouched with the power still running. As far as previous videos I've seen, this mall is situated in a very dangerous part of Vermont, and with much of the city sitting in decay and abandonment, it's not surprising the mall would follow through. The mall is definitely being scrapped very badly, all this with an existing active alarm. In the end you'll waited to see if anybody responded to the alarm tripping but Ultimately, the security and police possibly waited to see someone exiting the mall but instead caught you guys returning back inside. That mixture of pitch black darkness and the fading light from the bulbs still running is insane. Those lights are even turning like a dull orange because it's on it's way to being burnt-out. Liminal indeed

Dope exploration, that place looks wild! I’ve always wanted to explore this spot, but I’ve always been deterred by the security inside, like alarms and cameras. Sick to finally see what it looks like inside!

I read an article online recently that the owners of the property try to call the cops but the cops came out with a statement saying they aren’t charging people for going in because it’s an abandoned building. Also read the owner has cameras up and they have security patrols?

Great video. I this is a super sketchy area of Vermont, I would be scared to explore this spot. You guys should really go to the absestos mine in northern Vermont. Lydonville afb is a good one too

I am a Vermonter, I used to go to get something to eat at the Pondarosa just outside that Mall, it used to be Booming, But it now lays Dormant, like the Mall itself, Too bad, it's a Prime Location!

Planning on going there with my friend in a couple months. We're still relatively new to urban exploration so any tips on this location or in general would be greatly appreciated! Great vid btw, super cool looking :)

It's crazy to see it this way ...I thought it was still up and running just moved back after over 20 yrs. I used to go to this mall as a kid in the early 90s ..then with my oldest nephew and eventually my own children when they were babies. Bernie is ruining that state

I can see the exact location where we walked right before the alarms started blaring. Right before that big open area with the smiley face on the wall. This video gave me straight ptsd but thankfully we didn’t get caught.
