You guys are adorable! Your liking the cruise vibe! The gratuities are actually split up amongst all crew members. It is spread out not only to your dining staff and stateroom attendant but other crew that work the buffet, cleaning, etc. I always prepay the gratuity and leave extra to those that gave us special attention.

First off Bianca looked amazing in that killer black dress. I hate to say it but we did a 7 night cruise on the Mariner, we did not upgrade to the fine dining package. We are every meal at buffets or main dining room and had no issues with food. We thought it was pretty good. We expected to be disappointed having been on many Disney cruises before. The quality may have gone down our cruise was in 2009. I really hope you guys think about splurging on Disney. It is a step up. I'm going to think about the dining packages and drink packages for my RC cruise in January. Looking forward to seeing Coco Cay. PS I agree about Bahamas I hate them yelling at you as you try to just walk and look.

Our only cruise to date was through the Bahamas. I'll never forget the intense selling tactics. We were just married and both being offered brides and grooms! You guys made the right choice. Enjoy each other and the ship! Loved the video!

I went on a cruise and the buffet lunch there wasn’t good. I had lunch at the pub they had on the ship. My family and I went to Bermuda. Can’t say enough nice things - the water, amazing blue color, the houses, so pretty, a bunch of different beaches, including a pink sand one. The history and the houses - wow! Great to see that you guys had a good time on your first cruise. I've been on many cruises in the past and never remove our gratuities. The money is use to pay the staffs on board even the people you don't see. I know this is your first cruise and good that you tip your room steward.

GREAT tip about the housekeeping. Going on a RC cruise in March for our honeymoon and no one has said anything about that. I'd rather give the $$ directly to them for sure.

Yep ppl crew members rock my cruise I tip extra always.

I have only done 19 cruises. One Carnival (never again), some NCL (very nice) and RCCL (also very nice). It is really good to have something to compare with (different cruise lines). For food, we stay away from the breads, pastries, and most of all the carb type of foods. I have learned to stay away from the salty sauces and let the food be enough. When you have the drink package, always stay hydrated with water between your drinks!!! Very important. Especially if you are not used to being in the sun and or heat a lot, it can really take a toll on you coupled with alcohol being dehydrating. It's fun to kick back, but you need to stay healthy while on the ship. So far as your journey in Nassau (nass-awh), the locals are tame compared with say Cozumel. If you want to avoid them, keep to yourselves, talk to each other, but do not make eye contact with them if you are not interested. However, if you are looking for a beach getaway, make sure that you engage with someone who has an ID badge on them that includes their picture and name along with the local authority that provides this. Those people are strictly regulated by the local governing authorities to keep their prices the same, being insured, vehicles must be registered and maintained. If you are approached by someone with a cardboard picture "I take you to the best beach....." then you probably should stay away. A short walk to the right on the main street just as soon as you get out of the first market area, you will find a Senor Frogs establishment, which is fun, but don't drink much there because you have to find your way back to the ship. If you keep going to the right, there is a hotel which has a beach to it. Not sure of the cost, but it is probably minimum compared with going to Atlantis, and that too is walkable, but a lot farther away. This port has changed significantly over the years, but don't let the locals intimidate you. Trust me, they spot your nervousness and will take advantage of it. They want to make money too, but just don't realize that hounding the tourists is not the way to make the money.

Been on quite a few cruises, mostly Princess Cruises, and when eating at the Buffet, dont overeat and you wont get sick, thats the biggest problem with buffets, but cheers all good, love ya blogs, off to New Zealand next year and will do a blog too

Never cruised Royal, but being on the ship is my favorite thing, the ports of call for the most part are all the same, but being on the ship, unplugged and unreachable is the most relaxed I ever am. I've seen people have the gratuity removed from their cruise before, but I thought they were just trying to stiff the room steward. I hope they were tipping them like you were. We've never had them take off the gratuities before, but we have tipped extra on the last day to our wait staff and room stewards. Really need you to make another cruise video, these were good. Also, I wish I could be as comfortable in front of the camera as you are. Thanks for the content!

Can’t beat a Royal Caribbean cruise vacation! Going on Allure in February, they replaced Roatan with Nassau. I’ll admit I’m disappointed that happened. Also planning on staying on the ship in Nassau, not worth getting off....🌴🌞🛳

Enjoyed your video! The buffet as well as the main dining room may include items that have been pre-made (as u say not so fresh). Def the upscale/for fee restaurants like chops are way more fresh food/made to order (and Chops is the bomb).. Have been on lots of cruises... Never had problems with the buffet (and sorry you did).. Sometimes I think the combo of lots of buffet choices and great drinks if you have drink package may lead to over-indulging which can lead to stomach upset.. You two looked beautiful at dinner. Cant wait to see your next vlog!

If you eve suspect food poisoning take it right away and it will kill off bad bacteria before you get sick. I lost three days on a cruise once from being sick. Wash your hands with wipes or sanitizer before you eat too. Lots of germs on those rails.

That ship offers so much...take advantage of the dance clubs, casino, shows, pool, ping pong tables if you like....explore and enjoy....excursions off the boat are fun but very costly...do what you want to do, we all enjoy your shares...:)

Dev I am just watching your RCI Mariner OTS cruise vlog series And after sailing RCI for ten plus sailings I have to say if you want the freshest "free" food on the ship you all should try the main dining room on your next RCI Cruise. I always had a great fresh meal from there. - Tyler -

The thing about cruises are that you drink various beverages that you maybe never sample so you can get an upset stomach that way plus the windjammer invites many people that dont adhere to the rules. Eg wash your hands and dont touch food that you aren't going to eat. We prefer the restaurants purely because of this and it's not busy.

I hope you used the 25.00 free gift voucher on the royal caribbean deck towel..very high quality and has an inflatable pillow and a pocket it fits into. Its only available at guest services or sometimes at the towel centers

10:54 I hear of this complaint a lot with hotel buffets. Other than the fresh factor., It can be challenging for the stomach to digest too wide a mix of the various foods offered. Also, be mindful of the fact that bacteria on food sitting at room temperature multiplies exponentially every 20 mins.

I’m not a huge fan of the buffet either. But I do like the option to make a big salad and getting fresh grilled chicken to put in it. That’s my best buffet option!

I love Nassau and ALWAYS get off the ship when we port there. Junkanoo Beach is a short walk from the port and offers great tiki bars and local food like conch fritters. Our favorite is the Tiki Bikini Hut. Lunch is great at the collection of huts at Arawak Cay known as the Fish Fry. Lots to see in Nassau like the Queen's Staircase and Fort Fincastle. It's a shame you didn't do any advance research so you could enjoy Nassau.

you HAVE to do a Disney Cruise! I have cruised before and since doing a Disney cruise I don't think ill be able to do any others! it is worth EVERY Penny :)
