Grannie Cyndy from South Australia here again. Our beautiful aboriginal people were not villagers. They were tribal nomads. They lived off the provisions of the land around them. South Australia was proclaimed a colony in 1836 under British settlement. Our capital city, Adelaide is, I think, beautiful. But it's buildings and design is 19th century. So, as a baby of European heritage, my heart yearns for the origins of our people who built places, villages, castles, forts, cathedrals etc so many hundreds of years earlier. But also, thankyou for the wines, cheeses and various foods and traditions you gave to us. We are British heritage but Mediterranean in climate . I have moved from Anglophile to Francophile and Italian adoration through the years. Mainly because I tried to grow an English cottage garden with no success. So now, with no chance of visiting Europe I create it in my own back yard and live in it every beautiful day.

Wow, a themed video. We love the area of St Tropez and have it firmly in our sites for filming. We will have to research the Gendarme some more. We have previously visited the village of Port Isaac which is famous for filming the Doc Martin Series and included information about locations around the village in our tour - so this may be a similar tour for St Tropez. Hi Celeste, Oh my goodness yes, there are so many birds in france. Most of the villages that we visit are in rural places, surrounded by fields, meadows, vineyards or forests. We love to visit in the morning when it is quiet and peaceful and at the time of year that we film, there are usually abundant flowers and insects for them to forage on. We are quiet as we move around for filming and so we are less likely to scare them off and often we stop just to listen to them sing. Thanks for your question and for watching, have a wonderful day 😊
