Exploring the city of Utrecht | Netherlands travel vlog

In this this travel vlog we head to the city of Utrecht here in The Netherlands. We explore the city for two days, visiting restaurants and different sights; such as Domkerk (St. Michaels church), central museum and the Sonneborg observatorium. We go also on a canal tour around the city and visit several cute terraces, cafés and restaurants.

@@JanicasJourneys i actually visited The Netherlands from 2017-2019 every year but I haven’t been able to visit after 2019 due to COVID. Since then i was constantly looking for real/authentic content but to be honest i only found mainstream content on Amsterdam. Not that i dislike Amsterdam (i actually love it) but your channel was exactly what i was looking for since you show the rest of country as well and not just tourist hotspots :)

@@milindjajodia3432 well, if you'll look/search for specific cities/places in Netherlands (as opposed to just looking/searching for "Netherlands"; keyword by itself), you'll find plenty/lots of content (on RU-vid)!!

I have to tell you, I started planning my move to Europe about 2 years ago, so planned on just traveling a year to figure out which place I liked most. The Netherlands looks like it will be great seeing various areas up close. What I enjoy about your uploads is the engaging footage and smooth transitions from one subject to the next. And good fonts. Most of what I digest is “hard” travel info; go here, get this kind of visa, immigrate with these forms, and language training. Congrats on the channel name that you seem to like better. There was a change right? And wow, I'm behind a few videos, but you're talking now, all kinds of changes. But Maaaaaan! It took me forever to remember how to find you. I tried “janica” then with the alexander or alexandRA then “janice.” Didn't even consider an "s." About a year ago I also started watching Russian people's youtube channels and I started planning to visit there too. And, you wanna talk about serious channel name changes! Probably, about half a dozen channels I know have done that (another another half dozen have moved to other countries). So I think I'll delay that trip till later...

Haha yeah, there’s been a few changes. Hope you like it! Sorry to hear it was difficult for you to find. I was hoping keeping my name ”Janica” still in the channel name, so it wouldn’t be too hard to find.. And yes, I wouldn’t visit Russia right now, not even sure if it would be possible. I’ve only been to St Petersburg myself, but would love to see more of the country aswell!

What do you think it's worth visiting Russia for? Nature or the few cultural centers? Or are you interested in country in general, just interested in the perspective of an American.

@@HladniSjeverniVjetar Well, I've had people ask me what I will do when I travel to certain countries, but not that many people have asked me why I'm traveling to a place. But I plan to go to many places. In the EU, like Croatia, in the CEFTA like Serbia, and Montenegro. In GUAM like Moldova and Georgia. In the EFTA like Switzerland. Maybe I'll come to your country--where is that? Right now I'm trying to plan where I can see the Northern Lights this winter.
