"For Instagram, it's porn accounts" There's someone at my school whose entire Following tab is these types of accounts. They're not explicit porn, but they're all full of pictures of women just suggestive enough to get away with. It's actually kinda insane how there's just this network of sexualized accounts all over the Internet. I even had to get rid of my old Snapchat account because of how many sexbots and blackmailers kept swarming in on it.
how do blackmailers even "swarm" you if you dont have anything for them to blackmail you with, and how do they approach you directly if at all, attempting to do that

@@hoghuhaghu8506 Many blackmailer scams are not real but still target people with "blackmail" (which in reality is just an automated message sent to every person). They just hope you're dumb enough to fall for it. It's like that for most scams. One that was happening a while back was an email of someone saying they have inappropriate pictures of you that they got via your webcam and that they wanted a high amount of bitcoin or they would release it to your family, friends, employer, etc. They never actually had photos and didn't present any proof but some people still fell for it.
THIS is why I don't want my toddler brother watching RU-vid unsupervised. And whenever I try to say something my parents say something like "we are the parents" and I just feel helpless.
A little story of mine: I was in Minnesota for my aunt’s funeral when I suddenly stumbled upon my uncle and my cousin watching one of these psychedelic children’s compilations. Worried for the kid, I asked if I could put something on for him and I put on Bluey. My cousin liked it immediately, and I was relieved that he was watching something educational instead. Needless to say, I felt like a hero knowing that I potentially saved that kid’s future, as well as his attention span. I hope he still likes Bluey. Also, thoughts in prayers to my aunt
I have a cousin who watches these videos. They’re supposed to be going to highschool after this summer, with me, but they got held back a few times and I believe they are going to sixth grade. We’re about to be freshman age, and they are watching these videos. They don’t have any diagnosed mental deficiencies, they are just treated like a baby.
Eleven and a half minutes in, and I feel physically ill, like I feel the need to vomit and shit, so I think the point of the video came across in the most efficient way.
