The Chasm: The Rift influences in the early builds are definitely noticable, which is interesting since Szymanski worked on a sourceport of it a couple years ago.

I gotta say, E3 demo contains my favourite piece of ambient music in Dusk. As much as I love Andrew Hulshult's OST, I still think it's shame that David didn't use his tracks aside from final level's ambiance.

I recently got _way_ into Dusk again 💖 Dude, I _really_ appreciate him having made this stuff so accessible! I was super bummed that the first build of Prodeus that got distributed to influencers like IcarusLIVES, Gmanlives, Civvie 11, etc. was never made public. Not even to us Kickstarter backers! I'd also appreciate the beta campaign back, even if it was tweaked and extended for the full release. I love these old archived builds, demos, and development snapshots!! Especially comparing them to the full release years down the line~

I really like the weapon loadout of the final Dusk version but I wish the old early riveter was the actual one, so nice. Awesome video, thank you for sharing this content i didn't know about.

Ah that explains why the sawblades appear in most levels!

I wonder if the two keys / two exits concept was meant to be a nod to Hunted from The Plutonia Experiment?

My guess would be, since they were done very early in the games production, that the soldiers were mostly a placeholder enemy in the earlier levels
