@@AdamDeLay07 Oh nice. That's not too far out. I am curious if because they use MQTT there is a way to tie in to many of their data/triggers via Home Assistant.. to trigger things, etc. I will eventually have my lights, and other things tied to MQTT/Home Assistant via switches, etc. Not sure what can be done yet though. Maybe if battery is getting low, flicker any lights that are on to remind people to shut them off. :D.

I hope they eventually duplicate the generator control on the second relay, I’ve got something in mind for that. Being able to control certain conditions opens up all sorts of possibilities “for me at least” Thanks for the review 🤙🇦🇺

Great video. I was wondering how you connect via a browser to the Cerbo to test remote console over LAN (page 32 in Beta Doc. Do you need to connect via ethernet cable or can you use wifi.
@AdamDeLay07

Thanks! Your Cerbo can be connected to your network either through Ethernet or WiFi. Mine uses wifi. You just need to find the IP address of your Cerbo from its settings.

Thanks! I'm not sure. I know they're still working on getting the basic components ported over from the old version. I would imagine they'll have a lot more flexibility once that's done to add a lot more features though.

I have been running this for about a month. I like some of it, especially the charts, although they need to be greatly expanded. It has frozen once and I had to reboot it. One curious thing about the charts... the solar production history appears to be backwards compared to VRM... newest on left vs. newest on right.

Have it working on Tablet , Android Phone and Windows 10 laptop however i don't have TIME TO GO on brief on any of them as you do . MPPY State on Overview or Brief would be useful . Also noticed Solar feeds battery THEN Inverter , VRM shows both are being fed individually .
@AdamDeLay07
@AdamDeLay07 Месяц назад
I’m not sure about the “time to go”. Sometimes it’s there and sometimes it’s not. I’m sure it’s just one of those things that’s still being worked on. As far as the solar feeding the battery first, I’m sure it’s just a matter of real estate. It’s still feeding power the same way, it’s just represented differently. It would be nice if it showed the way the VRM does though so it doesn’t confuse people in thinking all power goes through the battery.

Thanks for the video, much appreciated. I'm actually amazed that victron customers have been having to settle with the original GUI since it was built 100+ years ago. It's an embarrassing setup to watch y'all fumble through in RU-vid. The new interface appears more intuitive, easy on the eyes and snappy so hopefully it'll be up and running soon. Having all of the upgrades that the gentleman Kevin incorporated into everything including support for added relays will probably be more important to me than the newest interface if a choice ultimately needs to be made. Has anyone been able to replicate this on their Raspberry pi?

@AdamDeLay07
@AdamDeLay07 5 месяцев назад
Because the Remote Console doesn’t work in the VRM, I haven’t enabled the new gui on the display for long term use. I have been monitoring the beta thread on the forum and I believe that the auto brightness and sleep functions aren’t working at this time. It’s a known issue though. Victron is currently working on their 3.20 update. Once that’s complete they’ll be back to the gui v2 updates.

How do you set the AC current limit from GUI2?
@AdamDeLay07
@AdamDeLay07 4 месяца назад
On any page of GUI2, there's a button on the top-left corner of the screen. You tap that and then you should see the ability to change the AC IN limit. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gGCxxiSB1lc.html

@@AdamDeLay07 Thank you for quick reply. On my version of GUI2 (3.40~1), when I clicked on that, it said "Unrecognized". This may be because I had manually set the current limit to 28A via VE Configure. When I set it to 50A through the VRM and rebooted the Cerbo, it now shows what you are saying. So, it may seem that setting it to something other than the defined settings (15, 20, 30, 50, etc) stops someone from using the quick set option? I'm not sure...it may be something to test.
@AdamDeLay07

@@camustang1966 It's entirely possible. I might suggest reporting what you found on the Victron Community forum thread for the beta. community.victronenergy.com/questions/270759/venus-os-v3401-available-for-testing.html That will help the developers know to fix the issue. @AdamDeLay07
@AdamDeLay07 3 месяца назад
Victron released an update but had to push back the gui update. You’ll need to switch to the beta firmware path (3:02 in the video) and install the latest beta and then follow the rest of the steps. I believe the latest beta is 3.40 something. Once your on that firmware version, then you should be able to see the new UI.
