I have been several times to the isle of Scilly for a fortnight each year. Absolutely heaven. Your video captures the diversity of these beautiful isles. No matter the weather, walking around the coastlines is exhilarating. Cant imagine it with a young one though. 🙂 Enjoyed.😊

I have just returned from a sea kayaking trip to the Scilly Isles. You are not wrong - kayaking around the islands is amazing, with the right conditions of course. We had some rainy and windy days but also some calm and glorious days, too. I highly recommend the guided tours with Mark Meardon at Paddle Cornwall. A particular favourite of mine is kayaking where the seals are in the Eastern islands - they follow you for quite a while and pop up so close to the kayak. I had one swim right behind me, with her nose almost touching the rear end of my kayak. It was a moment I won't forget in a hurry! My friend had about 10 following her at one point.

The Isles of Scilly look absolutely beautiful and incredibly calming. Watching Aife eat the sand took me back to a holiday at Gorran Haven many years ago when my daughter was very little and she ate the sand and yes it does come out in their nappies! Looks like you enjoyed a very special family holiday ☺️

Really like the off-camera informative bits from Harvey. Absolutely love the sand-eating laughter from Athena and Aife. These moments combine to give a fantastic breadth to the whole video, from rational to empirical. Thank you for aharing the work you've put into it.

My wife and I have been to the Isles of Scilly a few times and love it. We have always flown but due to fog in Penzance we could not fly back so had to resort to the Scillonian which we always dreaded as we are not good on boats. We were not actually ill although a little queazy but soon forgot that when we were enthralled by the spectacle of hundreds of dolphins all around the boat. Amazing. That was worth not being able to fly back. Thank you for this adventure, it was so nice to see lovely Scilly again. Looking forward to the next episode. X

Fantastic video, of a glorious location, now if you are wanting some interesting places to visit, The Turks Head on St Agnes is fantastic for food; as is The Scillonian Club on St Mary's - also The Scillonian Club, is quite rustic and gives a slice of Island Life in a lovely relaxing way. On St Mary's be sure to visit Carreg Dhu Gardens, Carn Vean Tea Rooms where you can have Robins eating out of your hands. Plus visit the Cafe at St Mary's Airport, all homemade cakes, bakes and coffee. Also visit "Nowhere" yes it does exist, and Old Town Bay is equally glorious as well, plus the Cafe at Old Town Bay is also epic - random fact, at Old Town Bay, there is a bench, that is sheltered and is located in the hull of an old IOS Dayboat that used to be used for passenger trips to the off islands. And finally, if you get the chance, Seal Snorkelling on St Martin's is worth it, plus to learn more about the Islands, get a trip to The Bishop Rock, and the Chapel opposite the Bell Rock Hotel, has quite a lot of interesting talks on Island life and History throughout the week.

Oh my goodness, these videos couldn't have been coming at a more perfect time. This is the next trip I'm taking and I am insanely giddy after watching this first episode. It looks so gorgeous! The flowers, the secluded beaches, the food - oh my! You guys all did really well with the ferry. I'd had every intention of booking it, but when we came to it - we decided to pay the extra and fly as like yourselves, I am susceptible to seasickness and I've heard the stories about the Scillonian. Really looking forward to seeing St. Agnes and Tresco in your next video! 🙏

@Harvey 123go We had such a lovely week there, but our plan to fly in and out was scuppered by thick fog when trying leave the island. We ended up stranded for an extra night (along with 100's of others as the ferry was fully booked) and had to wait hours as the helicopter and airplane companies rang round all the accommodations to get everyone a bed for the night. Of all of the places we could have been put, we ended up at Tregarthen's and my immediate thought was 'that's where Athena and Harvey stayed and it's gorgeous! 😍'

Apparently the sea crossing is one of the roughest for people. We went by helicopter to St Mary's and the pilot was telling us that daytrippers were so ill going that they couldn't face going back by boat so had to fly back by helicopter.

The crossing from Penzance to St.Mary’s was without doubt the worst sea crossing I have ever experienced! Sadly it clouded the Isles of Scilly for me and I have never returned! I shall enjoy watching your rambles and see what I missed! Aife is growing so fast and is so adorable and Oslo obviously enjoys his walks with you so much!

The Scillys are a special place ♥ +10:27 I wonder what beautiful red & white flower is ? Love seeing, and the scent of, natural pines (I'm a man of the woods) It's nice to hear Harvey more involved, really appreciate you both sharing your journeys, such knowledgeable people and great communicators. An island is a great place for a trail hound! (perhaps buy Oslo a tracker collar ?) This is the first video I've caught almost live since RU-vids staggeringly clever algorithm recommended you, so hello from the Downs of southern England! Just love your style - the quiet enjoyment and appreciation (but please don't change and go down the stale, stereotypical YT route). More generally, having had my eye's opened to just how unnatural most of our rural landscapes are through overgrazing, it would be lovely, and a nice reality check, if you could perhaps describe how they should naturally look, as you pass through.

We were quite Ill on the ferry. Are you preggers again already? Love the flowers. On my little three acres I have enough wild blackberries coming in to make any family of five or more coming in. Wild onions everywhere with Honeysuckle on the fences. I’m adding bourgamont and Jasmine to spice things up. I’ll bet it will be killer when your little one isn’t putting everything in his mouth and he can go she’ll hunting on the beaches. Mine were so much fun once they could get around on their own and interact with the world
