How do you use/set the favorite preset? You ever used a L6 Echo Park? I’m wondering which you think is the keeper. Then again, maybe I’m better off with a one-to-two trick pony like the DM-2 or Carbon Copy.
I have an Echo Park, yes. I'm a big fan of the sounds in Echo Park, although like most L6 stuff from that era it isn't the most reliable (switches, etc going bad). I'd probably pick the Echo Park over D-Seed II to be honest. The reverse delay on Echo Park is awesome and the more standard delay sounds are great too. DM-2W is also a crazy good analog delay if you only need a one/two trick pony.
I got one of these, I thought it was busted because it always cuts out briefly when it engaged, which is awful in a live situation unless it’s “always on”. I couldn’t seem to see anyone else complain about this, and every other demo of this pedal conveniently glosses over the part where they actually engage the pedal while playing, After watching your demo and hearing it do the same thing to you, now I know it was not defective, it’s just a poorly designed pedal. One other thing to note is that it absolutely ruins your clean tone, even while bypassed, the buffer makes the guitar sound glassy in the wrong ways, which only gets worse the louder you get. TLDR; great for bedroom inexpensive jamming/exploration, terrible for recording/performing.
Hi thanks for your reply. Yes i understand what trail is, but not just the last note, it literally doesnt turn off at all. so when using "Favorite". i do not turn on the trail. can someone else try to turn on the trail and use favorite to see if it does the same thing?
This is indeed a well done demo. That said, I wish this unit sounded this good WITHOUT THE STRYMON propping it up with ambience. You take that away and this thing is a one trick pony in every mode...simple echo repeats. It's very odd how you basically get what you pay for. I am selling mine.
I bought this pedal last year, it's a pretty versatile delay pedal for under $100. Lots of very usable delay options, and I love the simplistic layout. One day I will get around to trying it out in stereo. Great video btw - New Subscriber here !!
Love the tone you got going. I'm considering this or the memory Boy Deluxe as I want to have tap tempo and subdivisions. Do you have any thoughts comparing these two? Obviously the memory Boy is about twice the price
All the looping is happening from a Timeline placed before the pedal. I have loops going so I can just turn knobs on the delay. You're right though, when in looper mode you don't get any delay effects.
@@universalkyel3574 I play bass too..Am interested in getting this as it's great value for money...but I can afford the Boss DD200 which I'm getting soon ..still may get this to add to the signal chain though...
@@patrickr6505 It really has cool features, The lofi effect is different on the bass from the guitar. its a really cool sound and it's unlike any sound I could get from anything else...It's also one of my favorite pedals for delay. and i have alot. delays are my favorite effects
@@universalkyel3574 Cheers for replying my fellow bass player..I just ordered one..I also got the Flamma stereo reverb pedal if you are interested in reverb.. really good for the value and atmospheric tones..🤘
