Your information is flawed and inaccurate, get your facts right before making videos like this again. Basically every Tunisian is Amazigh by DNA (80-90%) regardless of the location, just like Moroccans/Algerians are. They have just been "Arabized" a bit more, but people in North Africa are Amazigh/Copts by DNA, very few people are actually Arabs by origin (4-5%) in North Africa. Its just that Morocco and Algeria have preserved and kept the Tamazight language alot wider and better than Tunisia thats the only difference.

Did you watch the whole video before commenting this? Saying that Amazigh people are a minority group in Tunisia is a fact, not my opinion. There are sources that mention that the beber population is as little as 1%, others say 2.5%, but I did also mention that most Tunisians have berber origin (being Berber is different than having Berber origin/DNA). So in a nutshell, I said the same thing you just commented yet you got offended by what I said 😅

@@danielazziptrips The Amazigh are the majority in Tunisia, what ever sources you have read wont change the facts, were Imazighen thats been arabized nothing else period.

@@jbr2280 by your logic than every country that has been colonised should claim that their people are still the same ethnicity as their ancestors. Show me the sources that say that 80-90% of the Tunisia's population is Imazighen. They have their origin, that is a fact, and part of the history of the country, but that's it, they are now no longer considered to be Amazigh people. They no longer have the same traditions, nor use their language, etc.
@jbr2280
@jbr2280 10 месяцев назад
You are seriously retarded, North Africans = Imazighen by DNA, culture, foods, traditions, and language, just because Tunisians happens to speak Tamazight to a much lower extent than Morocco/Algeria dosn't make them less Amazigh.
@Leprecurseur1
@Leprecurseur1 3 месяца назад
@@danielazziptrips in fact the 2.5% speak amazigh, but the majority of tunisians are berbers.

So much misinformation in this video. 1. Amazigh is an ethnicity, not a group of ethnicities 2. “They ended up calling themselves Amazighs” we always called ourselves Amazighs Einstein. The word is thousands of years old, not something that was made up yesterday 3. “They were there before Araps” we were also there before blacks, Jews, Spaniards, French, Turks, Phoenicians, Greeks, Egyptians, Romans, Vandals etc. Why are you specifying Araps? 4. “They are 2.5% of Tunisia’s population” WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA😂😂😂 her source: wikipedia 5. Matmata, Ghumara, Zayane, Gazula, Nafusa etc are tribes, not ethnicities 6. Rif is a region, not an ethnicity 7. Zuwara is a city, not an ethnicity 8. Djerba is an island, not an ethnicity 9. Chleuh is an offensive Ar*bic word to refer to Amazighs in a derogatory way 10. Chaoui is not an ethnicity. It’s an Ar*bic word that means sheepherder 11. Kabyle is not an ethnicity. It’s just an Ar*bic word that means tribe 12. Siwa is an oases, not an ethnicity. I can go on. Please correct your mistakes. This is injustice. Topic has nothing to do with Araps yet they are mentioned 10 times.

I apologise if I offended you in any way shape or form as that was never the goal of this video. I appreciate the feedback and as someone who really enjoyed researching this topic is specific, it is nice to hear from someone who knows more than me about it. This was my first time in Tunisia and the first time I fully researched Amazigh people. I researched this topic well enough and this is the result, based on the information I found. The source wasn't "trust me bro" but dictionaries, newspapers and articles of history from the area, including some produced by descendants of Amazighs. To your information, Wikipedia actually says that Amazing people are only 1% of Tunisia. The rest, it was only what I found online. The internet is full of wrong information, I am aware, and even after doing so much research, I got comments like yours. Would you say that the Amazighs are an ethnic group that includes multiple tribes as opposed to a group of different ethnic groups? As for the Arabs, they are part of the history and commonly mentioned in the research I did. I am just stating what I found.
