This video invites you to explore the Proxmark3, a historically unfriendly open source investigation, diagnostic, and yes "hacking" tool for RFID and NFC transponders and applications. But thanks to the efforts of the developer community, in particular Chris "Iceman" Herrmann, user friendliness is constantly improving.
Because commands are different across all the variations of firmware branches and as well as firmware versions, I show you how to walk through exploring the various commands using the built in help menus.

"Avoid setting this where it can short" (immediately sets it down on an aluminum laptop) Luckily, aluminum anodizing is pretty insulative.

Is it possible to write to sector 0 despite write protection? If not, is it even possible?

For legitimate Mifare chips it is not possible because sector 0 is read-only. However there are "magic" chips that come from China that allow you to write to sector 0. There are various "generations" or versions of these chips, and each enables writing to sector 0 in a different way. so can anyone just put it simple.....can i use it to get someones credit info or not? whats the point?

The proxmark3 is an investigative research tool you can use to do many things with.. getting someone's credit card information is technically possible using this tool but there are far easier and more practical ways to get at credit card information. If you work with RFID transponders at all, this is *the* tool to use.

When I type in "ls" like you did, instead of showing "proxmark3/", it says "lf_unknown_2022-01-20-09 lf_unknown_2022-01-21_08 lf_unknown_2022-01-21_09 proxmark3/" Is that bad? (does the same thing if I type in "dir".)

I need something that can clone all frequencies to another card decode cards and is portable

Certain devices are secure and cannot be cloned but many others are able to be cloned or emulated by the proxmark3. You will have to use the proxmark3 to explore your source cards to determine if they are able to be cloned or emulated.

@@letsgetto1millwithoutvids there are certain versions of proxmark3 hardware that do support this, but the android client is outdated and requires old versions of firmware on the proxmark3 hardware.
