it is interesting to consider though it might be that it is under the control of the Foundation and the GOC can't get it. Or maybe the GOC gave it to the foundation after a time, like they have done with a few SCPs
Or the GoC decided they wanted to destroy it after it targeted one of their own, couldn’t destroy it, and handed it the SCPF like “you deal with this fuckin thing” And the foundation loves tinkering and researching.
>Short range thermonuclear microwave computer >Paradoxical time traveling Cars >Teleporting Dynamite >Amnestic resistant Memetic infection TES: "Finishing off with something a bit more dangerous..." 😨
I won’t lie I always preferred the more intriguing and interesting scp stories as apposed to the more shocking and horrific. Something about the cool ones based in real life science or explorations logs that are really a great read for me
Me too! There’s just something so fascinating and satisfying about SCPS and tales that give off a more realistic or wonder filled vibe to it. I especially love the ones based off of real life historical events and mythology
I like both, as long as they are interestingly written. And considering the SCP universe, they often involve both interesting and horrific, even in an understated way.
I agree with you on that completely! Not only does he cover entire known concepts in the SCP Universe, but he goes into full detail to explain them so we’d all understand what they’re about
Man I'd love to work for Prometheus labs. Sounds way more safe and life fulfilling than SCP. You get to be the Area 51 of Silicon Valley while not having to worry about being murdered or have your mind wiped.
yeah, I love hearing about these groups that the SCP foundation can't just destroy and thus have their own culture and relationship with anomalies... better or worse than working at SCP. In a way, their existence is a strong counterpoint to the Foundation's central ethos, that humanity 'can't handle' anomalies since some of these groups do it better than SCP.
I love how he says first that Prometheus Labs went under for unknown reasons, as the Foundation swooped in to cover it up, but later explains that the company went bankrupt trying to manufacture the vehicles that they sent back in time. They literally went bankrupt trying to save the timeline over fricking cars.
^this cus im sick of all doodle videos from other random channels. Plus they lack voice which makes story feel real and have emotional unlikw those random doodle scp channels
I like you videos that cover multiple SCPs of a specific group at once. Like your Halloween, Christmas, literary, cat, dog, disease, and so on and so forth SCPs. Here's what SCP group I like to see in the future. If you haven't covered them yet. -Food SCPs -Insect SCPs -Gun/Weapon SCPs -Plant SCPs -Robot SCPs -Sapient object SCPs -Clown SCPs
Literlly yesterday i searched up prometheus labs on your channel and found nothing and today you just made a vedio about prometheus labs. This should help me understanding a lot of scps. Thanks.
I love the image you used for the thumbnail/opening/ending of the video. An absolutely massive android, just a bit of the head in view, with a human standing on a walkway in front of it for scale.
It is said that any technology that is sufficiently advanced will be indistinguishable from magic. It would seem to me that Anderson Robotics and Prometheus Labs took that idea, and teleported with it.
So if there are any fellow insomniacs here The Exploring Series can definitely help you sleep. Start the SCP playlist so it runs the videos in order automatically. Turn the volume down until you can just make out what he's reading without straining and let his voice gently carry you to sleep. It's basically become a ritual for me every day; I set my phone up on the night stand, get comfy under all my blankets, the cat curls up either on me or next to me with her head on my chest, and we both drift away to what is essentially a horror series. I don't dream anymore thanks to certain medications so if you're prone to vivid dreams maybe try a less...intense series. 😳
I do the same thing, though I switch between The Exploring Series and AJ Pickett. One day I'm listening to a fairly scientific exposition on cosmic forces beyond mortal reckoning, the next I'm listening to a scholarly exposition on cosmic entities we barely understand and can't hope to contain or contend with, without divine intervention. The fun part is figuring out which is SCP and which is D&D.
You really do make the best SCP content on the site, honestly. I’ve seen a couple longer form videos that were great, that had voice acting and effects and all that, but...I don’t know. I think it is the way your translate the narrative from classified documents into the audio format. Rather than a literal one-for-one translation, you opt for a more broad and descriptive retelling. It also means that listening to one of your videos doesn’t ruin the fun of reading the articles themselves, which is I think a feet in itself. The volgun’s in-character briefings, and the few videos that Night Mind did as (iirc) an in-universe AI, are close seconds though.
Hey I've gone through just about all your SCP video catalog in this past month or so and I gotta say thank you. It's a real treat to catch these new ones.
One of my favorite out of context scp quotes “ 21:40 (18/09): Rock falls out of coat pocket onto bottle of tequila, breaking it and averting an XK-Class scenario. “ Scp-2820
I always love listening to your SCP videos as I do homework. Something about it is always soothing and it comes out at 6pm for me so that I can listen just as I start homework. As always have enjoyed greatly.
I've been scouring your playlists for weeks now, listening to all the SCP stuff. I finally got all the way back to when you first announced that you would be covering SCP. This has certainly lasted much longer than you initially thought, much to my satisfaction. How much longer do you think you will continue to produce these?
Computer programs that can do an exorcism would be a really hard one. I had explored the idea my self, but never found a way to prevent it from wiping out the OS first.
If only exorcisms could be partially or entirely automated the rate they could be preformed will increase. Were currently trouble shooting to solve this problem
22:29 - Actually, we do know what happened. How? Well ... It is exactly about this, that the Canon "War On All Fronts" talks about. It is a really good one that has a really cool story, and really good SCPs like: *SCP-5514, SCP-5391* and *SCP-5437.*
Heard that. Whenever insomnia kicks in ill check this at 3am to find a new video just to think "hell yeah, I got a new awesome story to fall asleep to." Easily my favorite scp channel
SCP-155 is a favorite of mine because of the grounding in physics. It's just such a brilliant idea. Build a slow computer, but put it in a bubble of accelerated time...but there's still emissions and heat generation!
Epimetheus is the one who created all the animals for the gods, but when he went to humans, he had nothing left to give them. And as they were promised to be the greatest working of Epimetheus to the gods, he went to ask his brother for help.
"Prometheus was neither a man nor a god, but instead a Titan" I'm pretty sure the Titans were gods as well? They were just the generation of Greek gods that came before the Olympians, the generation of Greek gods that Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, etc, belonged too.
I know it sounds counter intuitive because in english god implies a being that has sorta has always been around but I dont think they were technically gods. More like precursors to gods.
@@e.elliotedison953 The way I understood Greek mythology, the Titans were gods. They were the first gods. They were on a similar level of power as the Olympians which preceded them.
@@johnmckenna5782 I don't think the Titans were the first Greek gods, the Primordial gods preceded them, the two most notable ones being Uranus/Ouranous (Father Sky) and Gaia (Mother Earth) who were the parents of most of the titans.
Just read the Pitch-Haven canon right before this 👍👍 PS that would make a great choice for a overview video next, but there are a lot of other canons/series that would be prime fodder for your reviews.
Can't wait to fall asleep to this tonight! I love explaining the scp foundation series and lately I have also started listening to your audiobooks from H.P. Lovecraft. Honestly I just love your voice
17:00-18:04: That's a lot of cool and appropriate titles there. For a superweapon, its elimination system does involve a weird amount of trenchcoat chimpanzees though. Still, the butterfly effect weaponizing is a must learn... I must reverse engineer that weapon for safety and security purposes.
You don't need to consciously be aware of it. Just seeing it is enough. They've exposed images smaller than a pixel that the human mind cannot comprehend, and still activate the effect. So erasing a memory will not stop SCP-096
@@sebastianacevedo9444 true but even if it’s a pixel if you erase the memory of the pixel would it work? Edit: Like if you were to view a picture that has been planted with a pixel of 096’s face and you had your memory of that picture erased, even if it isn’t a picture you consciously take note of and remember, would it cause 096 to become inactive again? It’s just a curious idea that I think would be cool to explore
I find it not surprising at all that even SCPs like 868 that would naturally benefit people, for the most part, are still covered up by the Foundation since it gets in their way. Even more Foundation-like is they make a special amnestic for it that pretty much ruins your life in the end. And some would question why I choose the Serpent’s Hand over the Foundation.
The problem with beneficial anomalies is…well side effects aswell as what if the effect other organisms like for example think of the insects hell cannon the hand is….imo far to hard to quantify since they have destroyed “beneficial” anomalies before overall I think the hand or atleast the parts that are “official” are on the overall no matter the means side effects
Will you ever cover the Pitch Haven cannon? It has been previously connected to Prometheus, and has some very interesting articles over many different groups, places, and persons of interest
Prometheus labs were really that advanced back then!!!! If they had thr foundations knowledge and resources we could have already been ridin around with flying cars and lazer guns
Awsome!!! Been waiting for a video about them. I've watched every one of your scp videos while at work. Your channel is by far the most informative and by far the best imo. The only other person I can listen to is the Volgan.
I wished he touched more on The Third Law canon. It explains what led to Prometheus Lab's implosion. The series is "Guns Pointed at the Head of God." It consists of SCP-2664, T Minus, T Plus, Deus Vulture, and Conqueror Worm. However, T Plus and Deus Vulture are considered non-canon and pending rewrite. It's safe to say that the rewrite is not coming. It's been 5 years. Anyway, spoilers below. In 1998, Prometheus Labs made a superweapon capable of leveling an entire continent. On the day the weapon, named PL-76 SHIVA, was being showcased, the Foundation, GOC, and Chaos Insurgency wanted to snatch it for themselves. Things didn't go as planned and the Shiva dissapeared with the whole Prometheus Labs HQ. Also, the Shiva is another Indian mythology reference. Lastly... How are people commenting 2 days before the video was made public??????
The absolute memory thing would be horrible to have, imagine everything horrible, every painful experience. Imagine if you had some surgery and you suddenly remembered every second of it.
Its funny that there is actually a Prometheus Labs. It does test for medical patients. When I was on chemo medication for my Crohns disease I'd have to get blood work sent to Prometheus Labs who would check if my levels were ok. Always thought they had a cool name.
There's this (if I remember correctly?) SCP gun that, when fired under certain conditions, can kill all leaders of an organization. I wonder if that had a hand in the collapse of Prometheus?
