Scarlett king could be another aspect of the Steven king character from the dark tower series, probably best call Elric of Melnibone to come help fight him since he's got the help of gods (and himself) but mostly gods.

The Fear Alone story is so wholesome. :3 I mean I just imagined the new researcher swallowing the lump in his throat as he slowly approaches the area where the Mantauq procedure is being conducted, hearing screams and sounds of machinery, blood splattering and more. His hands slightly shake as he reaches for the door, finally finding the courage to step in. Then, as he does, he finds a sound system installed at the entrance that keeps playing these sounds while in a soundproofed room, a soft-spoken D-class is reading a bedtime story for a small pregnant girl. This image of the horrific becoming kind of heartwarming through the idea of an illusion just makes me happy. Especially considering the f@cking nightmare fuel the researchers commit to contain the bloody deer god.

If I had a penny for every time there has been an SCP related to the Scarlet King or Sarkic Cults which contained heavy, and often needless, gore and edge. I could probably buy the entirety of MC&D.

I honestly like the idea of the Montauk procedure just being a bedtime story. With how the foundation is built on using lies and amnestics to protect people from the truth, it isn’t out of the range of possibility. Then again, I also like the idea of it being a torture procedure... in the SCP universe, there have been many people who have suffered and died in their mission to save the world. They’re all tragic heroes, and the girl is no different.

The tale involving 999 makes sense, as it would explain alot about how 682 reacts to it, and the possibility that 682 is one of the children.

Surprised this isn't longer due to the fact that he is pretty much the main antagonistic force of the scp universe.

I've always really wished I could come into contact with SCP-999 since I have to take so much medicine to control my depression and have to take sedatives to control my anxiety. The only natural form of medicine I've discovered is hugging my dogs, but I can't take them everywhere lol.
