I have returned to the Village of Chiddingstone which I haven’t been to since 2018 (and one of the earliest Videos I did for this Channel). The Village is unique in that apart from the Church and Chiddingstone Castle, the entire Village is owned by the National Trust which describes it as ‘the best example of a Tudor Village left in the Country’. I look inside the Medieval St Mary’s Church and Walk over to the Natural Sandstone Rock Formation known as The Chiding Stone from which the Village’s Name most likely derives from.

It is beautiful there! Just how you would imagine an English village to look! Thanks for trying the church door- we always visited the local church wherever we visited when I was a child( & still do!) Dad would bring us this way possibly because we had relatives in Borough Green.

I went to Chiddingstone in May - it’s a lovely place. Thank you for showing the interior of the church - unfortunately, it was being used for a wedding practice when I was there! There’s a lovely cafe through the arch on the Main Street. (It’s the river Eden.)

Interesting that you mentioned not being a member of the NT anymore. I had a long break from membership and just joined again last year. I visit Petworth frequently as it’s the nearest to my home. Gravity playing up such an interesting idea 🤔Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

@@MarqEnglish sorry I didn’t mean to offend you . I don’t always watch videos in the order they’re made,I haven’t seen any mention of you cancelling NT membership as yet. Or maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention I tend to watch whilst working in my art journal so often am in flow and not focused. Apologies
