Thank you so much for making the chat available in video! I could not participate and as always, the content is exceptional! I always come away from your teaching with additional knowledge to help me in my art journey!
This is amazing. This is my first time hearing of this, but you made it absolutely fascinating and easy to understand. Thank you so much, I feel like your explanations have helped me to finally understand color amd how to organize it on a palette amd how to execute it in a painting. Your way of teaching is extraordinary
This was so helpful. I understand this however it's not so easy for me to execute. It was good to hear your pallet gets messy too. I'm glad you seem to be doing so well also.
As always, great discussion. I find squinting difficult...but iPhone photo.> edit>adjust>filter> mono.... transforms photo to gray tone...and you can see value line w/o the squinting.
Hi, Dianne. I learned things about the value-color line I hadn't known before. Thanks! I didn''t understand what you said about Yyoutube's requirement of clicking on the bell. A quick question about using Eco House pure walnut oil (and wiping if off the canvas to avoid the use of a solvent): it leaves a sticky film on my brush and I'm finding it hard to clean it. This doesn't happen with linseed oil. Any advice? Thanks, again. Carol.
Hi Carol. When a person becomes a member or a subscriber, there is a bell icon in the upper right-hand corner that they can click on to receive notifications by email everything we send something out on RU-vid. On the walnut oil issue, try poppy oil instead. I actually use it to slightly dampen the canvas more often than linseed. Actually, I don't have any experience with walnut oil so know only what other artists have told me about it.
@@IntheStudioArtInstruction Oh, you mean the ususal subscribers' bell icon? I know about the chats via the weekly newletters. About the walnut oil -- I think I'll go back to linseed as you once suggested. I apply it to the canvas wih gauze and then wipe it off. A bit glossy, though, which walnut oil isn't. Could you tgell me what the others have said about the walnut? Thanks so much for your reply. Be well.
