The Memories, hours, and hours of Minecraft with my cousin in 2012. What a time, But all good things must come to an end. Thank you Xbox 360 for the memories.
The sleeping avatars is always sad to me, it’s like a graveyard, and it could be because sometimes you never knew what happened to those people, they could become something and some could’ve left way too soon.
I never owned the 360. I spent my 1000's of hours on the PS3. Though, its definitely sad to see these consoles getting older and losing support. It makes me happy to see you immortalising the 360
Never been a fan of console wars and always loved every console for their unique approaches but I feel like the Xbox 360 always stood out for me. The menu sounds, games, avatars, party chats, the gold system, microsoft points, arcade games, indie games etc. etc. Was just perfect and even tho I am happy I switched to PC about 8 years ago. I will forever miss this time.
2009: Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Modern Warfare 2, Halo 3, FallOut 3, GTA IV: TBoGT, The Orange Box, so many awesome games from middle school. Good times.
🤓erm actually l4d one came in 2008 the orange box in 2008 and the halo game in 2009 was odst and wars No clue about the others though but 2007-2009 were peak gaming with series like halo cod half life left for dead and more
I really wish the servers were still up for the og Halo games, the Master Chief Collection is alright… but it just doesn’t feel the same, it’s missing the classic menus, the music and like I said, it just don’t feel the same.
ITS NOT SHUTTING DOWN BECAUSE PEOPLE STILL ONLINE PLAY XBOX 360 GAMES ON THE SERIES X AND THE 360 STORE USES THE SAME SEVERS AS THE ONE ON SERIES X AND THE ACTIVISION JUST FIXED THE SEVERS FOR THE OLD CALL OF DUTY GAMES SO YOU CAN PLAY ONLINE
I remember every single menu the Xbox 360 had and it was my first actual console my parents bought me and my brother, to say the memories I had will stick with me is an understatement.
Same here Man I remember my favorite was the very old menu where it was like all green with those also green horizontal tabs and your avatar on the side of the screen and also that orange blades dashboard those were good times
For real though, microsoft cared about longevity, I remember when me and my family played steam games in windows XP on our PC deep into the windows 8 years, dropped support and went to 7 not long before 10 came out. Miss the old GMod days lmfao
@@notsa_s oh Thank god, I been meaning to get back on, I even purchased the wifi adapter for it like about a month ago, but I been so busy I hadn’t have the time to play it, but I’ll have to soon. This breaks my heart just as bad when the 3DS eShop closed. 🥹💔
My biggest regret in my life is selling of my 360 in 2016. This console introduced me to console gaming and xbox as a whole and I have so many great memories of it.
Thats crazy because I was going to make a video on my Wii for nostalgia but I opened it up only to find everything erased because i was gonna sell it … 😔 shit happens mane. at least we got memories we dont forget!
i can understand shutting down servers as they arent used much anymore, but i think the better approach would be to just resize the amount of servers that are actually in use so that most servers would be shut down but there would still be a few reserved for the people that are still active
yeah, but thats a longshot for these companies. I doubt they care even a little bit… because these days, if it isnt massively profitable, it aint worth it for them
I personally don’t understand shutting down the servers because that’s basically suicide for Xbox since modern day Xbox consoles still use those Xbox Live servers.
I remember in 2014 when I got out of school on a Friday and me and my friends would play Minecraft for literal DAYS, like we’d play from Friday to Sunday only take a few breaks here and there, gaming now a days is so lonely because no more game chat and everything is pay to win…so glad I got to experience the golden years of gaming, or atleast the end of it
Man I didn't think this video would get me emotional I remember minecraft was the first game I ever got for my Xbox 360 back in like 2012 or 2013. I made so many friends on that game. I invited an old friend who I hadn't talked to in probably 7+ years to an Xbox One party 2 years back. It was a blast bro. We went through old minecraft worlds together, played Doritos Crash Course, and tried to play Happy Wars. We said we'd keep in touch but I haven't talked to him since Thank you for this video man. Seriously. Almost brought me to tears. As much as I hate looking back on these memories and getting emotional, it's nice to do it every now and then
stories like that r what makes the consoles so special… it was truly an iconic time in gaming history!!! and yessir manee im glad u enjoyed the video 😁🙏🏻💯✨i appreciate it
Would be great in theory, doubt you can do that though for two reasons 1) you'd be either killed or sued for using Microsoft hardware and software illegally. 2) if it was possible, people would have already tried to copy the Xbox 360 to make new ones. But there's no way to do it because we can't make a 360 without Microsofts blueprints
10:00 This is what is known as a liminal space It used to be filled with people But now it's empty, desolate, With you being the very last person to join the game. There's no winning or losing, Just the emptiness of what was.
This feels like an old man soulfully recount his childhood by showing you the artifacts he has collected all his life because thats what these games are artifacts that represent the past and all those beautiful memories that make life worth living
I'm not crying, you are. Back when I still had those friends, gaming on BO1 and BO2 zombies every day before school started. Things changed hard when highschool came around and everyone fell off man. To be back in those days... Really thank you for making this video. Good times.
The memories I had with the Xbox 360. Minecraft, Spiderman 3 and Amazing Spiderman, Lego series, and more. I feel old but I feel happy that I had a fun and good time with the games I played. Im sad that this will be gone and forgotten, sooner than some people think.
Something about the gamer pics, avatars, the menu and profile customization felt special and it’s not the same anymore. Buying gamers pics, outfits for your avatar felt like a flex and you wanted to show it off. The community aspect of arcade/indie games was something special, I remember everyone playing Doritos Crash Course, Castle Crashers, Game room.
Everything comes to an end. The creeper that exploded your build 7 years ago doesn't matter anymore. Although, it's not something bad. It's a reminder that you should enjoy your life as much as you can. Take care everyone! ❤
I might be a wuss but I teared up seeing your games. I got like.. at most 300 in my old library before I lost my 360 and seeing so many familiar titles is hitting hard
you know if you login on a xbox one with your 360 microsoft account you will be able to install those old 360 games if they were digital because you already purchased them
Just plugged in my 360 and did the same thing, the memories and joy I had scrolling through everything was amazing. Going to cherish my 360 till the day I die
They say the worst thing is grieving the loss of something that is still with you. Regardless of if that something is human, alive, or just a couple servers and some data somewhere, the grieving is still real.
Hey I still play mine. It has so many features the newer consoles don't have. It's actually my favorite of all of them. Hope they don't shut it down anytime soon.
I still have my 360 hooked up. from time to time I put a disk in and play it for old times sake, but it always hurts me to see every single one of my old friends avatars sleeping. back in the halo days, we knew it wasnt gonna last forever, but we werent fully aware how limited the time we had left really was. Im the only one left online now, and i often wonder if im the only one that misses it seeing as no one else has logged back in for years. somehow they were all able to move on, not just from xbox360 but from videogames.
Man, this brings me back. Back when politics wasn't pushed like crazy, we were just playing games with not a care in the world. Newer generations will never know what it was like back then, it was just a more simpler time. Gives me flashbacks of when I'd go to my cousin's house and just chill. This era will never be forgotten.
classic generation shtick, "newer generations will never know this or that", thats just natural, like how Gen Z never experienced stuff from the 80s like how the 90s kids did, or maybe even in the future Gen alpha will reminisce about into the spiderverse or puss in boots, maybe they'll reminisce about "what the dog doin" or skibidi toilet, maybe they'll say how the newer generations will never know what it was for them. But yeah, absolutely.
They just now announced this morning on their Xbox Blog that they are actually shutting down and retiring the Xbox 360 store starting on July 29, 2024 that means all games, avatars and apps will be no longer buyable on Xbox 360 console same goes for tv and movies since the Microsoft movies and tv app will no longer function on the console
This may be it... Goodbye Xbox 360. And God bless everyone I've played with, even if I don't remember you. We all made great memories together. Some good, some bad, some worth crying over. Farewell.
I’ve never had a typical interest in consoles after getting a PC but I’d still play the Xbox 360 if mine worked. Its what i played from when I was the age of 5 all the way up until I was like 11. Shortly after we stopped using it and only used our Xbox one and I only used my pc but the memories are still there and will always be the memories of the first games I’ve played. I’ll miss you Halo Reach, Minecraft, and Just Cause 2. Just cause I can still play yeh games doesn’t mean the memories are missed. I’m 16 now and it’s crazy to remember this stuff from a decade ago.
Bro, you really opened up some great memories of mine I completely forgot I had. Thanks man, the saddest thing to me though is one day in 100 years or so, there's not going to be a single human left on the earth who experienced this era. We are the last ones left, let's never forget.
man, i remember finding group of friends from different cities because of Crisis 2 multiplayer demo. We would play together in a group chat ALL the time, everybody was probably older than me, so i was like a little dog with big boys. Playing Red Dead Redemption for 100 time just to see ending and huge beautiful map, bumping music while destroying people in Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, playing co-op in Gears Of War 3. Being ROASTED after friends saw me playing LEGO Batman, oh my god bro... Call of Duty 4 multiplayer, dressing my avatar, trying to get into Halo: Reach beacuse of peer pressure XD It's really my favourite console because of the community. I'm not really a outgoing person but this Xbox 360 made me feel normal and like i have a lot of friends, like i'm not alone. Thank u for the video bro
Was on 360 from 2009-2013 and that goes to a special place in my memory. Friends I made there are the ones I've known the longest in my life. I miss those times
Me too, my first ever M rated game was Battlefield 1943 on the Xbox 360 (Absolutely amazing game btw, such a shame the servers are shut down). After that it was MW2 a little later in 2009.
2009 - 2012 on the 360 vividly remember playing saint row 1 (i planned on buying 2 but gamestop put the wrong disk in and little me couldn't care less so I stuck with it), prototype, skyrim, and halo 3 odst, halo reach (which i used my copy of halo 3 and while at a friends house i snuck to the basement and placed my halo 3 disk and took the halo reach disk and just swapped places so basically free 60 dollar game), call of duty black ops and witcher 2 then i trade it in along with my psp for a psvita and then got a ps3 a few months after that I miss those days edit: also forgot about skate 2 and 3 those were fun asf too
I miss playing call of duty black ops 2 with my friends, a couple years ago my Xbox 360 eventually got the red ring of death. Which then I could no longer play and I had to buy another Xbox, it was an Xbox one s. I’m still happy I got a chance to play a lot of cool games. I remember playing need for speed shift. Those were the good days. I’ll never forget them.
I copped a 360 for the first time last year I been a playstation head my whole life and I’ve never had more fun. So many games thats stuck on the 360/OG Xbox its a crime as a gamer to not experience for yourself.
What a goated console! I never really owned an Xbox 360 of my own until like maybe 4ish years ago so I wasn’t able to experience it fully in its glory days but before that I would always play on it at my friends or cousins house when I was younger. I remember staying up playing PvZ Garden Warfare at sleepovers, playing Minecraft with my clueless cousins who just ended up destroying all my builds on “accident”, or just being amazed by the fantasy of Skyrim! This console had something for everyone and even though I was more of a Wii fan, I still respect the memories that the Xbox 360 gave me.
hell yeah 😁✨am tellin u, from the 360 to the wii to the ps2, no future or current consoles can compete!! they really had some type of magic that bloomed the future of gaming 🤞🏻💯✨
@@CobatineYT For real, I feel like so much of gaming from that era felt like video games had reached their peak! Like yes, the games and their consoles that come out now are still impressive and awesome but those older generations just made you feel like you were in the turning point of gaming. Most AAA games today feel very repetitive and samey.
Sheesh bra this vid really is a 360 throwback classic gonna miss these simpler times. The way I look at it is at least we got to experience it a time when online gaming was new and fresh.
This is the video I just needed. Minecraft part hits so hard, I remember playing codbo on my ps3 with my crush in elementary school (7th grade), she was my motivation to wake up every morning and go to school... Nowadays I can't find a girl like her, I just don't feel anything as much with the other girls like I did with her so that's my biggest problem. Nostalgia... (she changed so much and it's so sad)
I cried while watching this. I was on xbox 360 for quite a while, especially on Minecraft, since I was a kid. I remember making my first world, cherishing it, and then going on random multiplayer worlds. i also played a good amount out of Halo, where I spent hours playing the campaign, then playing multiplayer. it's still sad to know they shut it down..
I'm gonna miss this thing. All the memories I had with it. The games. L4d, cod and cod z, the voice chatting, being a bad player. I will miss those days... I'm gonna miss you xbox 360. Sleep well king.
The indie games were legendary and the library seemed almost infinite. Free trials was also a way I had spent hours on hundreds of differing games before buying them.
Don't wanna start a console war, but Xbox 360 has a very special feel to me, GTA V, Sleeping Dogs, WWE SvR 2011 and WWE '12, Halo: Reach, Skyrim, Toy Story, Bully, Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, Hole In The Wall, Kinect Party, The Godfather 2, Lego Indiana Jones, and so much more. All of those games really held a place in my heart
I actually did this the other day. Me and one of my friends joined a party and we were just blown away on how the times have changed, how the UI is different, and having your accounts Bio be easily visible to everyone. On your friends list you could set a motto and people would have some funny sish on there. Friends customizing their Xbox avatar, buying outfits and accessories. We essentially scrolled through everything for over an hour. We even got in a couple of games Doritos crash course, harms way… Those were the good times. Edit: spelling
@@CobatineYTjust got to the end of the video, that ending hit me right in the feels, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t shed a tear. But to quote Dr seuss “Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.”
Finna make a grown man cry. I been on, grabbed everything I could. Still missing a lot of indie games I wanted. Saints row 1 still can catch a lobby. Gonna miss it bad.
It’s never going to be gone forever I just seeing it getting better call of duty is back online you can use your 360 to play online the only console that’s going to be dead next is the Nintendo Switch cause Nintendo makes all their consoles die one after another the Wii U and 3DS is dead I’m 2023 not enough gamers on Nintendo to save those consoles
@@loserxylophone3986 somebody that works at microsoft said "In regards to your question. There are still separate servers. There are Xbox 360servers and Xbox one servers. AS to when that will change I am not sure. As the Scarlett comes out it looks like it will be a next gen console so another server active."
173,895 gamerscore GT: AlluringSpark. That's over a decade of Xbox 360 / Xbone I started playing early on. I remember getting Crackdown so I could play the Halo 3 beta that came with it. I can tell I'm a little bit older then most of you younger gamers. But im glad you guys were able to catch the tail end of the 360 era. Truly a better time for the gaming industry as a whole. Trust me. It's so damn corporate nowdays. Al about profit and not fun or artistic value. Online is far more "sweaty" instead of the days of casual online (looking at you Halo 3 Custom games and MW2). Ive done the exact same thing you do in this video a few times throughout the years randomly. It can be very emotional. Spent hundreds... Prob thousands of hours playing 360. I wouldn't take back a moment. Made friends that will last a lifetime on it. Memories too.
Despite the official service ending at some point, he believes that the community will overcome this pain. We can't lose hope I believe we have an alternative server.
Man i haven truly been on my 360 since lile 2015. I remember i used to play with so many people man. Most of them have been offline for years now. So many Minecraft worlds i had made with people, so many matches of halo reach, and black ops 2 played. We used to have game nights in halo custom games. It truly is not the same now. People dont really talk to each other in games anymore or anything. Really my only regret is not savoring the little moments when they were happening. and letting the friendships fade is another big regret. Oh why oh why couldn't have i tried harder to keep those connections alive. Fuck
I feel u hard when u say people dont talk as much anymore. Something about gamechat back then was just different.. more lively. And I understand homie but try to see the brighter side of it! You got to experience a legendary console in an iconic era of gaming 💯💯✨
🤣🤣😭 Thanks for the laughs man. The 360's Call Of Duty servers were restored to their former glory, and servers for some games were never even forsaken to begin with. I was just playing online on Castle Miner Z the other day. The Xbox 360 isn't going away forever, it's coming back forever. Games suck nowadays and everyone knows it, and that's why the 360 isn't going anywhere.
i really hope they don’t because i just spent my money on a console. i don’t wanna play the new games i wanna play the old ones. it’s also pretty cheap compared to everything else and it’s still such a good console.
PS3, Xbox 360. I went back to both of these and the majority of games I remember as a child don't work anymore, which upset me because me and my childhood homie never got to play our favourite games. Sucks how time has passed so damn quickly and now i'm already leaving school. Where did time go 😔😔
Something upsetting was that I never got to experience these games when they were new, I only got to play halo 3 until 2021 so I’ve always played older games through a gaming archeologist perspective. But I’m hoping 2024 will be the turn for better games, and new classics
You will never know the joy of waking up on Christmas 2013 and getting Minecraft 360 edition, and then popping it into the console and playing it… That was such a great time in my childhood, and I’m so sad it’s gone… (My parents sold our 360 in like 2015 to buy a Xbox 1 lmao)
Even tho i never had an Xbox ( i grew up with PS2,PS3) i will miss those consoles. They were legendary for they're time. The hours i put on F1 2006 Championships edition and F1 2012. I still remember like yesterday in 2016 getting my first victory with Ferrari. I will miss you PS3, I can't say goodbye right now because you died in 2019. PS4 is fun,but not the same as you. I will miss you 😢 RIP: My PS2 (2012-2014) My PS3 (2012-2019,2023) I will miss you thanks for the memories.😢😢 But I won't cry because it ended,i will smile because it happened 😊
the memories are actually real man. gotta say i wasnt on console much since i never had one, but every time i went to my cousin's house i would play on it a lot. i have the nostalgia of playing these types of games that you guys played like minecraft and halo, black ops 2 and stuff a lot back in the early 2010s. i miss those damn times so much. it will be gone but not forgotten in my heart
Man it’s gonna be a sad day when they finally pull the plug on the servers. I have so many fond memories of just getting home from school and loading up Black ops and Gta4. The 360 was a huge part of my childhood, Seeing all those friends I made forever offline and the servers for some of my favorite games empty is rough.
I will always remember the Xbox 360, like the Lego games, minecraft, cod, battle block theatre, castle crashers, borderlands and so much others. I’ve grown older and wish I could go back and enjoy these games with my siblings, in fact I’m on my Xbox 360 right now. I hope this console never dies and remains active for years to come. Who knows, maybe it will be revived somehow. We can only wait and see what happens
I still remember my mom coming home with the Xbox 360 surprising even me. I wanted the 360, and guess back then Walmart did layaway. She also works at Walmart and still does today. So many memories playing CoD on it, Saints Row 1-2, GTA IV, and so many other games. I think it was just a random day, not even a Christmas gift or birthday gift iirc. Sadly one day my 360 red ringed, but was able to get it sent in and fixed. I still have my OG 360 somewhere I think too.
It was the greatest era of gaming. Xbox have put fun in their console like avatar as well as intense gaming. Xbox have avatar. Ps3 didnt. Xbox have better ui. Ps3 didnt. But Ps3 had easier jailbreak xbox didnt. Ps3 had free multiplayer. Xbox didnt If you are buying console then see this chart. Chart: Ps1 > n64 Xbox OG = Ps2 Xbox 360 > Ps3 Xbox one < Ps4 Xbox series X or s < Ps5 But Xbox 360 is the best console for me. And after jailbreaking it more good.
Bro there getting rid of the Xbox 360?? I swear these companies just don’t care maybe it’s something I’d don’t understand but playing Minecraft for hours on end was amazing and now gone…
Its truly sad. The Xbox 360 was my first ever console. It's what I made all my best memories on. Even though the offical servers will probaly shut down soon I'm sure modders will make patches for these games so we can still play them online.
I don't think Xbox 360 is going anywhere. Xbox live is connected though all console and as long as people still play games like gears 3 and cod, which Microsoft fixed, they are making their money. 🤔
