"So many flavors, I don't know what's going on..." -Shizuka, 2023 lol Everything looks so yum! I shouldn't have watched this while fasting. Thanks for taking us along!
I love your clips, based on food, with you gentle and punctual comments and entertainment and explanation of what we are watching. Keep doing the good job. Greetings from Italy
Nearly shouted at the screen when I saw you went to Ponipirika. I went there once in 2016 and the #4 level soup curry was more than enough heat for me. Super delicious there
I really liked that plate with the different curries. It would be great to be able to taste a bunch of different curries, instead of only 1, during a meal.
I will definitely go for the highest spicy food even higher than the last food Shizuka ate and the crews. Also I would love Japan By Food to come to my country to try all the spicy foods 😅 (don't worry, we have non spicy foods too)
"...and I'm growing a moustache." 🤣 I can do a decent level of spice but it's not a fun time. That first curry sampler had great presentation, though! I'd love to try that. So when are we gonna see Shizuka on Hot Ones?
Absolutely love curry specially lamb. Agreed love how the 1ST place looks. Looks like the curry is shredded. Looks like a delicious meat pie. I would have a few Kiren to wash it down. 2ND place. I was patiently waiting for you to try Lever 7 Spice. Congrats. Absolutely loved your reaction walking into your 3RD place. Yum banana. Cheers on 20 peppers. Absolutely love seeing your eyes water and your noise sniffing because of Spice. 1ST place with the meat curry pie was the winner for me. Absolutely Loved Every Minute
I just had lunch and now I'm hungry again! I was beginning to lose faith and considered that I may need to move to Thailand instead of Japan when I leave the USA. I had kind of lost hope about spicy food in Japan after the Devil's BBQ closed due to The Bug! They had a dish known as the "Sudden Death Hambagu" which was supposed to be one of the most spicy dishes in Tokyo. I guess I will never find out unless someone can find out what happened to them and if they just moved or cashed out completely! I am so wanting to hit up that psychedelic place! That one is showing real promise! Watching you go for that last dish has got me all excited about getting there! If and when that happens we need to meet and have a challenge over who can handle the most heat! I'm well known here for having lava level heat tolerance so, it could be interesting! This is a fun video! You need to do more just like it! The field is full of players so you have plenty of material at hand! Regarding your ending questions, a friend and I have traveled all over the East Coast of America. We've hit many places that claimed to have really hot food. Most of them Asian restaurants. Each time we offered to pay double per serving if they made it so hot we couldn't eat it! After more than 20 years we have never had to pay up! What do you think about the places you tried? Will they beat us?
That all looks very delicious! I have a pretty good heat tolerance and I like it when my curry hurts a little, so I think I'd give the spiciest one a try.
@14:00 #MagicSpice Aumair Curry took down the #JapanbyFood team (LOL) Kyuyam-tei Shimokita-sou curries were very interesting in terms of consistency . I'm used to seeing curry in a gravy that borders between sauce and soup . Three heavy meals in this episode - kudos to you all for making it through !
looks very spicey, the reactions got me reachin' for my water bottle, when the spice level is overtaking the flavor though it's too much, I like it when you can taste something, so I'd love to try these out as it seems there's lots of flavor as well
I’ve never been to Japan before now that I watched ur streams it’s on my bucket list now lol what’s the best city to visit for great food and sightseeing
Really would you like to review "咖喱屋ボングー" in Shinjuku. The curries in your vid seem experimental in nature, haven't found their grooves yet. But Bon Gout's is novel and well established, has sound culinary foundation.
Wow Shizuka you were so brave to try the super hot level 7 curry! I would never ever try to even taste it! But sorry that lady was walking in front of you while you were talking. Yabai!
It happens quite often 😁 Tokyo is a big city full of people so sometimes it can’t be helped but we tried to shoot fast so that we don’t stand in anyone’s way 🤓
magic spice and sama are the best in the area in my opinion. although the original sama burnt down during the pandemic and the new one doesnt have the same vibe plus the food isnt as good as it used to be. sama in harajuku is better.
the level of spiciness of Japanese people is still the lowest when compared to the level of spiciness of Southeast Asians.. their spiciness is god level😁😁 for them it's a little spicy but for you it's level 10..🤣🤣
I love spicy food but there’s a point where there’s no flavor and just pain. But with that being said I would love to try those, they looked delicious. 🌶️
I would definitely try the Zengake curry in the first part, it looks so amazing! Also I'd probably try a spoonful of the level 7 curry for scientific purposes!
Another wonderful video, every single dish looked delicious, I do enjoy dishes that are more spicy then usual. All I know is that I'm going to visit this place. Your content is really enjoyable and keep up the good work.
I think for a person with a bit higher spice tolerance, even the last place would be manageable and enjoyable. It was spicy but you could still enjoy the taste!
I've eaten hotter curry than the one in Japan. We have so many spicy curry restaurants in the United States that you have a choice on what amount of spice you can handle or not. 🌶🍛😋👍🍛🌶
After watching this channel for a year, it is confirmed Japanese are obsessed with soup, I love soup, BTW I loved this episode and was surprised not to see a single Indian? Are there like communities for different groups in Japan?
@6:26 that was a nice Japanese mannered person!!!! 😂👌🏻 Nice vid I been twice to shimokitazawa but wow I’m not into that spicy!!!! 🥵 I can go co co curry level 4 that’s will do me!!! 😬
This girl is way too nice, cause @6:27 when that person literally walked in front of their shot, I wouldve had to say something to that rude old person.
oh YAY MAGIC SPICE is easily one of my favorite restraunts ever. Every trip to Japan I MUST visit there and enjoy. Absolutely one of the best soup currys ever
Great tour JbF and host Shizuka, generally Japanese curry is mild and somewhat has a sweetness to it...not as spicy as the eastern asian neighbors...Thai, Indian, Korean type currys. With consideration to tourists, one would think Tokyo curry restaurants would cater to palates that are more adjusted a higher level of zest.
I'm not a fan of spicy food. It just leaves me in mouth pain, and I can't grasp the fun in that... By the way, have anyone noticed Shizuka's mysterious backpack? I think is time for her to reveal its contents! Come on Shizuka tell us a bit more about yourself, don't be shy! 😉😉😄😄
