Exploring Turon National Park in 2019 Jimny

One of the nicer day trips close to Sydney, offroad through the Turon National Park in the 2019 Jimny is a must.
Awesome riverside camping and endless river crossing make this fun for the novice and experienced driver alike. The tracks are not difficult and you can take them on with a stock 4x4 in dry conditions.

33° 8'12.22"S
149°58'27.90"E
The camping along the river is spectacular with plenty of room, and flat grassy sites.
Pearsons lookout is also a worthwhile stop while you're in the area. It offers up stunning views over the Capertee Valley.

Awesome videos mate, its great that you're doing tracks near Sydney. As soon as these restrictions are over Ill head out to Turon as well. Keep up the excellent content, and your jimny is mad!

Subscribed today. Love what you are doing with the Jimny mate. I have a Jeep TJ with everything on it like the Lockers Lift long arm suspension etc...but I want a Jimny now , I can't wait 👍

Cheers, the Jeeps are nice, and super capable. The Jimny is awesome, It’s my favourite car I’ve ever owned. The only problem is the wait time to get one.

Nice channel! I wondered if while crossing rivers and the water is above the door sill if you get water coming into the car. A Jimny owner from Greece!

If you’re moving through the water, no not really. HOWEVER if you get stuck then definitely yes. I’ll have a perfect example of this in the next video

For the suspension lift kit did you use castor correction bushings? What type of suspension setup do you have? Standard, medium or sport?

Gday, yes the suspension included castor correction. As for the suspension itself, it’s the Old Man Emu suspension kit. I believe the front has a slightly higher preload to allow for the bull bar and winch.

Look great! I was wondering about that traction control system...the air lockers must be amazing when compared to the stock traction system. What are your thoughts on this?

The difference is night and day, the lockers allow you to be more controlled and you know exactly what is going on with each wheel. I found the traction control works ok, but you don't know exactly when it's going to kick in and by then you have lost momentum. That said, I tried out the down hill decent properly a couple of days ago, and I was surprised how well it worked.
